100% agree. RHJ, Dante, Acy and we are set at the 4.

all set for what struggling to win 30 games?

this team needs massive upgrades

this team better be competing for a playoff spot next year

Firstly, I expect to see another jump from RHJ. He’s gonna be on the weighs and shooting 3s for the next 4 months. Secondly, Cunningham has only played 20 games with us, but in those 20 games is shooting 38% from 3 with a PER of 13. Thirdly, Acy has almost spent no time as our 3rd string pf. Lastly, both Cunningham, Acy and Booker have been backup 5s way to much. Bring in another Zeller to backup Allen and they all get to play their best spot.

The million dollar question. I heard they were looking for stretch 4's in college too.

I just love that Nets pick watch thread on the Cavs board and Stillwaters meltdown. Could resist +1 some of his posts.

F Brooklyn he says.
Why?
For trying despite no LeVert, Harris, DMC, IW or Lin?

We doesn't tank last year either and our pick was #1. Their hard core rooting against us and bad karma hurt them.

A 29 win team doesn't need anything.

I usually just lurk these days, since my hero be injured. I LOL@ your bantar with Prokorov. I agree with both your arguments. In terms of dollars for production, Joe Harris is the much better option. But... Joe Harris has never put up 41 points on 15 shots. Granted this game is an outlier, but it shows potential. This is the NBA, there is only one champion per year. You don't go with the guaranteed solid player in Harris, you gamble on Crabbe's potential. Solid players don't win you championships, dudes that put up 41 points consistently do. Crabbe did it once, Harris has never gotten close. Crabbe is a steal at 13 mil (Portland took Nicholson's worthless contract). I would much rather have Crabbe's 13, than Harris @ 10. It would be nice to have both though, like currently.

Also, yes, this team needs a lot more than development. They need an injection of talent. The goal of every season is a championship, unless Sam Hinkie's your GM. Development might get you an 8 seed in the playoffs, but you need a transcendental player to win a championship.

I actually think we need a lottery pick next season. we can still win 30+ games and get ourselves a nice pick. Marks has landed two straight gems with LeVert and Allen in the late 20s pick range, can you imagine what kind of player he drafts with a lottery pick in the 11-13 range? we need another special player more than a playoff appearance.

I actually disagree. i think we need a stretch 4 man with some more size on the roster.

So you want RHJ to start and Acy for depth, but let Dante go for some more size. I’m just not sure a tall stretch 4 is coming here to come off the bench and get paid the minimum.

Yeah I don't think starting RHJ next to Allen is a problem at all. Let me rephrase it. we need a big (either 4 or 5) that has size, can rebound and can hit threes in the rotation. I like Cunningham but he still lacks size.

Who doesn't? Every NBA team is loooking for that, and there's not A lot of them (unless you don't care about their ability to defend)

I can easily foresee us finishing roughly where the Lakers / Hornets finished this year. Mid 30s wins given more development from LeVert, DLo, RHJ, Crabbe, and Fro. Depending on if Harris, Dinwiddie, and Lin are still around or if similar talent replaces them. Most likely Carroll will still be here since we're not going to be actively trying to dump him for salary purposes. There's a slight chance he plays even more out of his mind than this year and some playoff team offers a late 1st for him ala Bojan/Wizards but I'm a little weary of that.

We'll probably get a late lottery pick unless the team takes a step backwards or suffers major nagging injuries throughout the season.

I think that is something else many of us don't take into account. We traded away Booker and Zeller for 2nd rounders or a shot at untapped talent. It was definitely the correct move because a few extra wins this year doesn't matter, but just having those 2 here for the full 82 probably adds another 3 to 4 wins to the total.

Not surprising that the moving of booker and zeller hurt more short term (long term it pays off since we gain pick assets) than long term. This is why I am baffled when people want to ship every veteran out of here and leave it to a team of guys who are 26 and under. It never works like that in basketball. You need experienced professionals in the locker room and on the floor.

LOL I think it's a case to case basis. I mean Mozgov is a veteran who loves to collect money. I mean even with the way he wants Dinwiddie to stop when he was frustrated about not getting a foul call. You can just see his intentions.

based on his interactions with the team, Tim seems to be well liked in the locker room.
