Russell's been rock solid this preseason. He's not this super explosive guy who can carry the offense but he's really limited his bad shots + TOs. He's moved the ball really well and he carried over his strong finishes at the rim from last year. The team is banking on him and LeVert shooting better from 3 and I see no reason why he can't. When he gets a good look, his shot is money.

Gotta give props to his defense too. He's not locking guys up in isolation but he's really kept mistakes down. Off the ball + fighting over screens. The guy is just buying in all around. Even when he makes a couple shots in a row, he's not forcing anything.

Unselfish, heady, efficient, mindful of the ball, and assertive when the team needed him to be.

Stop hating. I'm tired of this ****.

He has played well in the preseason and this was by far his most cleanest game overall. He's improving.

Relax he played a good game I didn't say anything bad about him.

Just spoke on the best lineup in the 4th

It's just noticeable you know?

When Russell plays bad you're the first person to **** all over him on here. Relentlessly.

But when he plays good you don't even mention him. Russell playing well, working on defense and being an unselfish teammate doesn't fit the narrative that you've been trying to kick on here about him being a lazy, selfish player does it?

Russell looks terrific. Props to KA for getting him to play the right way. All now that is needed is for this D Russell to carry over into the regular season in most games. CLV and Dinwiddie look good too though CLV still gets sloppy at times. But that's part of his hard, downhill type of play.

The test for the team now is closing out games consistently. Playing competitively and being in games has not been an issue, but closing them out has been.

If that's so let's both hope I don't mention him all year. In other words him playing like last night will be the norm.

I thought his was a team game why do I have to talk about a player?
Dudley played a good game as well glad we got him a veteran calming influence that talks on defense as does Ed Davis.
