Celtics coming in off 2 days rest(Kyrie was super fresh too) is the cherry on top.
The fact that we even kept it interesting till the 4th, is something to feel good about.
Nets fans suffer from low expectations. Why exactly should we feel good about getting blown out by the Celtics? Boston isn't exactly some world destroying team. We lost a game that we could have won - on to the next. If this roster is good enough to compete for a playoff spot, they're good enough to beat the Celtics.
Ehh, expectations should be grounded in some reality.
We are not a championship contender, we are a fringe playoff team in a weak EC. If we were an actual better team, I'd have different exceptions.
3 road games in a row, 3 games in 4 days and we had to play a rested Celtics team on the road, all while missing key players. That is a tough set of circumstances for ANY team, much less a young, growing Nets team.
We competed and that's all you can really ask for. We were clearly fatigued. We were playing crazy lineups by force. Faried and Graham alone were 2-12 from 3 ffs.
Let's see how we play them next Monday, before being overly critical.
