Okafor wasnt trash, he just didnt do anything of the things we want our bigs to do (Excel in the pick and roll, set solid screens at the top of the key for three point shooters, switch on to smalls) and everything he did well we dont value (post ups, iso scoring for bigs)

We dont need a post up big because the nets view a post up as a wasted possession,

Defensively he was slow footed with little no awareness not to mention a lack of effort at times. So Kenny had to sit him. If he did the aforementioned well enough he would’ve played more. And once again games like yesterday’s are reasons why we need a big that can post up in the paint, score and draw fouls. LMA killed us in the post down the stretch. If only we had someone that could’ve countered that...

The Nets lost because of 10 missed FTs and got bodied inside on 50/50 bang bang plays. having a post up big in the line up wouldn't change that.

Or how about when we needed a bucket or at least someone to draw a foul or someone that could get those offensive rebounds that LMA kept getting?

Okafors defense isnt why he didnt play/isnt here... his offense is. he couldnt develop any kind of pick and roll game. it made it impossible to have him on the floor since our bigs #1 responsiblity is to set screens.

We dont need a post big.... we already have guys to warm the bench and never player. markinson doesnt value post play. they view a post up as a negative possession. and its the smart thing. the last thing we need is a post big. we need more guys like allen.

Yes it’s his defense bro. He’s one of the worst defensive bigs in the league, that’s the reason why he had a hard time getting minutes and why Allen and Davis work in Kenny’s system it’s their defense. Okafor wasn’t much of a rim protector and got routinely beat down low. Kenny could’ve lived with his offense (or lack there of) if he gave better effort on defense.

Why would we need more guys like Allen? We need a Jaren Jackson Jr type a guy that can stretch the floor, and play the post. A JJJ type getting those post up opportunities that RHJ gets would make this offense better.

you know who could get us a bucket or draw a foul?

-Spencer Dinwiddie
-Caris Levert

we dont need a post player... they wouldnt even dress for the game. Kenny wouldnt play them. We view post touches as wasted possessions

no it was his screens and pick and roll play. his defense here was actually solid. they tried to make him a pick and roll big and he was awful settings screens for three point shooters.

the nets dont want post bigs. it could not be more abundandtly clear

If only they were playing tonight.... and Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert being able to get us buckets and draw fouls do not negate from the fact that we need players that can play in the post...

Sure the big who has a consistent net negative didn’t play because he can’t set screens... even though the bigs that play are good/solid defenders (Allen, Davis and RHJ)

not only do we not need players in the post, we dont WANT players in the post. like its a hard stance by the franchise. which makes sense since all that data has proven on huge samples that it is wasted possessions
