you were saying?

i see the forum is back to having the temperament of a 13 year old girl.

Nets have given their fans an amazing season but some fans just cant handle they were arent a lock playoff team yet despite being just 3 years into a 6 year rebuild.

the team deserves better, these guys busted their humps to imrpove and play harder then any team in the league

I said if we miss the playoffs and he needed to step it up.

How was I wrong?

He did exactly what I wanted him to do. He did step it up.

Instead of telling me I have the temperament of a 13 year old girl why don't you stop defending everything the Nets do like an emotional mother who just found her son at the Principal's office?

I didn't say he was bad or a poor leader. I said he would look like a fool if he didn't step it up and we missed the playoffs. And I stand by that statement.

He's going to look like a fool if we miss the playoffs because he was invited to be on the cover of SLAM?

Not anyone else on the team, just him, the guy who has pretty much carried this team all season?

alright. so instead of it being a good thing that a Nets All Star was put on the cover of SLAM magazine, its a bad thing. unbelievable.

and its still a riddiculous emotional 13 year old girl statement.

if he doesnt step up and we miss the playoffs? he is the reason we even have a shot at the playoffs after playing like a superstar for most of Dec-Jan-Feb.

if we miss the playoffs and he doesnt perform well these last few games he certainly doesnt look "foolish"

-Career highs across the board
-Scoring and Assits up while not seeing a decrease in shooting % or an increase in turnovers
-Made the All-star team
-in the running for most improved player
-Has some hype around the Nets right now
-Lead the nets to 10+ win improvement over last year

on what planet does that look "foolish"

this post is foolish

No dude. Its not just slam. Its the fact that hes been going around the media and doing all this stuff. Slam is just one example. Acting like a star.

As long as he keeps playing like a star and leads us in the playoffs thats fine.

But I said that when he was playing horrible against Boston in the first half without Kyrie or Horford at home. Let's keep it in context.

All that talking he did this season will make him look foolish if we blow a playoff spot that we have held all season.

I said that when Russell had a terrible game against Philly and was playing awful in the first half of Boston. But context doesn't mean anything to do. You just cherry pick to fit your narrative.

I've been a huge Russell fan all season and am very satisfied with his season overall. But I said that because I knew we needed the Boston game to make the playoffs. And he did exactly what I asked him to do.

But do I think him doing am media tour and acting like hes arrived is foolish if we flame out of the playoffs at last second? Yes I do.

Everyone on this board acknowledges that missing the playoff would be a failure after being in the playoffs almost all season except you.

You are the only one that is happy with mediocrity. You are the only one satisfied with failure. You are the only one who cheers on losing.

You are the type who probably loves giving participation trophies to your children.

Some of us have higher expectations. Sorry its that being a "13 year old girl" to you. Your insults are honestly so petulant and stupid that they are not even worth responding too.
