We have about $28.7 in space. Dump Crabbe with a pick, and we'd be around $48mil in space. Use Dinwiddie to trade Crabbe, and we'd be near $56 mil in space.

yea biotches playoffs !! We've come a long way now let's get this upset. Might want to rest guys against Miami, we definitely don't need that 6th seed.

Philly has a weak bench honestly and Simmons being a non shooter could be an advantage for D’Angelo.

There’s hardly no chance we could get 7 games against Kawhi or exploit any advantages in their starting five.

What does trading Crabbe away for a little to no money leave us with?
We will roughly be at $48M with Russell's cap hold if we somehow are able to get rid of Crabbe's contract without taking salary back.

With 109 cap space, this gives us roughly $61M of free space. Keep in mind this $61M doesn't account for any cap holds for draft picks or pending FA (Carroll/JD/Davis).

We will need to dump Spencer and Crabbe without taking on salary to have a chance at 2 max room and that's still gutting our roster.

I like Spencer but if trading him and Crabbe stood between me and the opportunity to pitch two tier 1 superstars on playing together, bye bye Spence.

If I can trade Crabbe, while only attaching the DEN pick, that’d be great since you could potentially use Spencer towards a S&T for Kawhi?

(I’m thinking if Kawhi tells TOR he’s not coming back, it seems like they’d lean towards blowing it up. Maybe they’d be interesting in taking Spencer as their PG as they try to get Lowry to a playoff team.)
While we should draft whomever we think best fits the team with the DEN pick, I’d have zero qualms trading it to create more space.

I’d renounce RHJ (sadly), Graham, and Napier to create more space.

Missed the game live but had to watch the replay. Surreal to think we are the playoffs. Best case scenario at the start of the season was maybe sneak in as a 8th seed. Now it looks like we can the 6th seed and end the seasn above .500... Amazing!

Can't wait to watch another playoff game at the Barclay's center!

Its fitting that the game where we clinched the playoffs is one where we got contributions from everyone. That's what Nets basketball has been about all season. SO many different guys have stepped up at different moments with DLo leading the way.

Hopefully we make a good showing in the playoffs. I know for sure we'll play hard and I won't be surprised if we win at least 1 game.

As long as we win a game i'm good, actually i'm good even If we get swept as long as the games are competitive.

I want Philly... the stench of tanking is still on them. They lost to Boston last year in 4 games with boston rolling out their young rookies/backups with Kyrie and Heyward out. I know philly is better this year, but they lost to a square led by terry rozier and jason tatum.

We arent beating a Kawhi lead raptors team... with a rested playoff mode Kawhi, without home court. Raptors would be much more likely to sweep us imo.

Philly also has more guys who have been banged up in the past. not that we would root for injury but they would theoretically be less durable over a 7 game series.

As long as we're competitive and we don't suffer any long-term injuries, I'd be somewhat ok with getting swept.

Although taking 1 game from a top-seed at least proves that you were really a playoff-worthy team. I like being greedy.

id take 3 competitive games like the 98 season when we gave jordans bulls all they could handle.

swept in 3 games but i believe two went into overthime and the other was 1 possesion with 2 minutes to go

Dinwiddie is just part of the problem... to get to two max slots (especially if one is for durant) you need to move crabbe, dinwiddie, harris and then use your draft picks in trades to move those guys because their are cap holds on those picks.

we would have to gut the team... honestly, id rather just get kawhi or just get durant, keep the identity of this team, keep our picks, and build something sustainable that last long after kawhi retires.

I'm not sure how guys in here are talking about gutting the team minutes after we clinch the playoffs. I understand it's appealing but signing two max FAs is EXTREMELY unlikely. We have the entire off-season to talk about that stuff lol.

I’m not pressed about adding superstars I’d rather build and develop our guys and add low risk high reward guys.

They built this from the ground up just keeping hitting singles. Trading away a good backup point guard sounds crazy.

So damn proud of this team! Can't say enough about the resilience and spirit showed by everyone! Well deserved.

Now, lets bust Raps/6ers ass in the playoffs 8-)

Agreed, and a 6MOY candidate on a cheap deal. Only way I'm trading him is if we have an agreement that 2 max are coming, but we can save this talk for the off season not now. we have a series to win lol
