Kyrie Irving and Carmelo Anthony are "pushing" the Brooklyn Nets to sign Carmelo Anthony, according to a source that spoke with Frank Isola of The Athletic.

I don't buy this. Even with Chandler suspended, the team is full. We could cut Chandler but I suspect we won't. Wilson is pretty well respected around the league.

The Brooklyn forward will start the regular season on the active list and moved to the suspension list after the 5th game of the regular season. The Nets with 15 guaranteed contracts can add a 16th player after the game against the Rockets. Brooklyn plays the following night (Nov. 2) at Detroit. Chandler will be removed off the suspension list for the Dec. 15 game vs. Philadelphia. Chandler can participate during training camp and play in the Nets pre-season games.

This is key to them keeping him. So whoever they bring in can't learn from training camp it sounds like they just have to wing it. In that case DC makes more sense then since he played here 2 years ago.

1- Chandler should've known better. Vet like him who's been through planty of rehab's is a joke. I ain't mad but that's just plain stupid.
2- Have no problem with bringing Melo here, it's a long season and extra man won't hurt. All these Melo ego talks is just dumb. Guy literally begging for another shot because he wants to play and prove haters wrong. We got Kyrie and KD who being hated like no others by both fans and some reporter's, adding Melo won't hurt. My only concern is to how he'll fit in Kenny's system. Both Kurucs and Prince know they're a role players and their game fits just right in our system, Melo on the other hand been ball dominant throughout his career and not really a spot up shooter or utility guy who knows how to complement playmakers. If Markinson decide that they want Melo I'm all in, got no reason to doubt them.
