Our problems really was just defense tonight. I see Gasol open too many times just in the early part. Hoping that gets tightened up and we did make a attempt at a comeback late.

the dude does spin moves off of screens and gets anywhere he wants to in the paint. there's a lot of nasty **** we're going to see out of this team.

again, my main takeaway is that Kyrie is always looking for Joe. The bombs will fall and connect. Prepare yourselves.

The difference between us on both ends of the floor, and the Raptors' cohesiveness, it was night and day. We started off alright but that 2nd quarter killed us. Really showed that we have a lot of work to catch up on, to match these other established teams' chemistry. There was that one point where we had 3 consecutive drives in a row, and it looked like things were clicking, but Raps took a timeout and we never looked the same after that. I'll give the team the benefit of the doubt on China game, but we can't play like this to start off regular season, while opening schedule is soft.

+Kyrie looked good for the most part. Didn't hold on to the ball much and made quick decisions. Most of his shot attempts were tough shots, and a few misses were unlucky. Had one amazing layup in traffic.
+Caris was good offensively, and his 3 pt shooting has stayed solid. Needs to get to the line more though.
+Nwaba's hustle was great to watch
+Jarrett Allen had some good moments
+Another solid offensive outing for Prince

-Defense was terrible all around. Constantly missing rotations, too many cutters left alone, and really weak on the glass.
-Disjointed offense with turnovers and some bad shot selection
-Bad preseason for Dinwiddie, one game aside
-I guess credit to Raps' elite defense, but our shooters struggled to find open looks
-When Dinwiddie is playing poorly, lack of scoring options on bench a legitimate concern
-Need more defensively from DJ
-Kurucs looks the same

As a team, we will need at least til the end of November to get some cohesiveness. Hopefully with the schedule we can at least beat the teams we should beat to keep our record solid while the players figure it out

Thoughts...

-Chemistry was again elite. very little iso, elite ball movement and guys seem very comfortable with one another. there was more passing up open shots then there was forcing bad ones.

-When Joe gets right he is going to have some huge games. he is getting tons of great looks, and with kyrie he seems to have great feel for eachother. joe and prince are going to get tons of open threes.

-Team looked a little winded. id assume its just the travel from china, not a concern, but it didnt do us any favors in transition.

-Kyrie is such an upgrade to russell as far as getting to the rim on pick and rolls. he didnt finish wel this game but he is typically a great finisher. puts so much more pressure on a defense then floaters or 15 foot ull ups even though Dlo was great with those

-Caris/Kyrie/Spencer seem really in sync as far as playing on and off the ball seemlessly. its less "taking turns" and more organically just going with the flow. if caris keeps hitting jumpers htats 3 guys who can both attack and shoot 3s off ball

-Oyr bench is going to stomp people again. especially if rodi keeps hitting threes. Allen/DJ whomever are going to feast in pnr vs backups.

I definitely agree were going to need a good twenty games under our belt to works things out...

One guy that seems to be flying below the radar is Jarrett Allen.....With all the hype around Ky, Kd and Caris taking the next step, it would not surprise me at all if big J makes a huge leap. I think the addition of DJ is helping his game. I think not only will he be our most improved player, but also a contender for MIP.
