I mean I don't want to just toss Chandler into the trash before he can show what he has left in the tank but Iman fits our system so well with his hustle and ability to knock down the occasional three.

I dunno. We'll see what happens. But Shump is in for the long haul, I love his activity on defense. On offense I think he could probably relax a bit and not try to force things.

Also, shout out to Musa. I think he has a long way to go but he's working out there on defense and he earned 8 trips to the FT line and got absolutely hammered each time. I worry about him though because I think he's going to get hurt with the way he drives to the rim. He needs to learn how to pump fake and he needs to trust his jump shot.

Wilson Chandler is a corpse. he is hot trash. he makes marquis teague look like allen iverson. he has ZERO game left.

Chandler is the easiest cut ever.

I agree, at least Shumpert has energy and he hustles. It looks like he worked on his handles and shot this summer too. Wouldn't be surprised if he's a rotational player for the rest of the season

Shumps had some Kobe-esque type chuck-melo ill advisted mid range off balanced pull ups... but i can live with that given the hustle, energy and D he has provided.

He has created turnovers... and not just like stepping in passing lanes... but taking the ball from someone in the triple threat position or swiping it away from drivers someone else is guarding. he has been a menace. glad he is here

LOL we can't even win games without people around the league trying to ruin it by saying "oh look, Nets win without Kyrie, see???"

Yeah, let's just ignore that the three teams we beat were trash, and the one good team we played embarrassed us on our home court. So we're able to beat bad teams without Kyrie, but have no chance against good teams without Kyrie.

Meanwhile, we beat Houston and barely lost to the Jazz and Nuggets on the road with Kyrie. So, we're capable of beating good teams with Kyrie.

Sounds to me like...Kyrie makes us better. IDK, I could be wrong.

Definitely, lol yea he does think he's Kobe sometimes. But honestly I'm ok with it for NOW. It's the beginning of the season and he's just trying off his new moves he worked on in the summer since he didn't have a training camp or pre season to showcase his new talents. I'm alright with letting him practice those shots in game now so we can see what tools he has on offense, then we'll know for sure what he can and can't do in a game later on. We know he can make the 3, maybe not consistently good but he can keep the opposing defenses honest. His defense has been good so far too.

He's up to 19 and 5 for the year. As a starter, he's at 24 and 7 on 60% TS. I love the way he's running the team too. I think part of Spencer's issues in the past couple years is that his role is always changing. Is he supposed to be a steady PG that runs the system? Or instant offense? Or just a spot up shooter / defender? Right now, he's running the show like an all star. He's been making it a point to get everyone involved but he also knows he can basically score whenever he wants.

He was toying with the Kings yesterday. Only reason his stat line isn't more impressive is cause he missed all his open 3s.

He has been great.... last year when Levert went down he helped right the ship as well. Russell rightfully gets credit for shouldering us to the playoffs but Dinwiddie has some big games to help put us on the right track

for all the levert love, Dinwiddie has really produced as this teams 2nd best player the last couple years and doesnt really get much love

Yup. I'm just waiting for Dinwiddie to combine his relentless drives and foul drawing with a 37-38% from 3 season. I think we all know he's capable of being that type of shooter.

ECUHUS1981'S NET RATINGS

JARRETT ALLEN - 7: he didn't dominate inferior competition, but he held his own and produced efficiently.

TAUREAN PRINCE - 6: he makes easy shots look difficult, and tough ones look ho-hum. Team defense is still an ethereal concept to him. But I look around the league, and for our needs, I'm not clamoring for a replacement. I just want to see him continue to find his niche in the system. He's on-boarded as well as we should expect so far.

JOE HARRIS - 9: he really stayed assertive all game, which helped everyone on the team.

GARRETT TEMPLE - 8: Wow, great all-around game from the quiet engineer of our emergence of late.

SPENCER DINWIDDIE - 8: he looks very comfortable running our offense right now. His confidence and his efficiency beyond the arc belie each other, but he gets to the cup at will. Possibly the most important aspect of his growth is finding his bigmen for easy opportunities at the rim. Utilizing JA and DJ sucks in the defense, and keeps them from overloading perimeter passing lanes. It's something out of Harden's toolbag, that all of our play-makers would do well to employ.

BENCH - 6: Jordan was both awesome (10 boards in 19 minutes) and awful (5 fouls in 19 minutes). His high-post passing was pinpoint, and it is a wrinkle that we should exploit more to keep the opposition off-balance. Musa is staying aggressive, but isn't crafty or springy enough to finish in the lane or draw contact against smart defenders. He forced some action, and the officials were generous with the whistle. Theo is firing blanks, and his me-first tunnel-vision is getting on his teammates' nerves. He had a good step-back mid-range J, but earlier in that possession, he missed Garrett flailing his arms wide-open and ready for a skip-pass 3. IDK what happened to his style of play in the G league, but he's playing like he's worried about his next Youtube highlights video instead of running the offense. Henry Ellenson did as much in the box score in 3 minutes as you and I.

KENNY - 7: he's keeping us in good rhythm and spirits, and out-flanking his opposing coaches tactically. He doesn't take enough responsibility for his shortcomings IMO, but he also doesn't bask in the glow of his successes.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

The level of hate that these people have for Kyrie is making them say really stupid things.

The elephant in the room with Kyrie is pretty simple. Maybe being a very educated black male might skew my perception but the elephant in the room with Kyrie is...he’s not the “dumb” basketball player that many fans and Americans love to see.

He actually has balls and stands on his statements. He proclaimed his family heritage as a Native American and I simply can’t help but notice the level of hate he’s received since playing for a historically racist sports town and entitled fan base.

The ugly truth is, Kyrie does not celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas. He’s openly said it when reports asked. He doesn’t celebrate the slaughter of his people. He’s probably one of the only sports athletes who refuses to pretend to fit in to social norms, if it doesn’t fit within his belief system or his religious/spiritual beliefs.

As a black male that was born in America from a Caribbean household but with roots to the Cherokee tribes. I can’t help but notice the level of media negativity that has followed him since and there are other examples of it but not in the social media era.

Why aren’t these media accounts posting videos of his talk with his little daughter about boys? You’d think this dude is mentally ill with nothing positive going on in his life. Yet, he’s got a child and he’s engaged. His family’s Instagram accounts are like family reunions everyday since he’s come home. That video of his daughter is all over Instagram and the only people leaving **** comments about him and his family are weirdo Celtic fans.

I really hope we all understand that there are members within the media with a pathetic agenda to defame an athlete because it’s the best thing going for ratings, YT views and clicks. You can pander the hate towards butthurt Celtics, Knicks and some Cavs fans.

That would be the only reason for someone to generate this much vitriol on a daily basis.

The media narrative against Kyrie is ridiculous. Let him be, he isn't perfect but nobody is. These dudes don't care about character assasination as long as they get click$.

I get the sense people are mostly hung up on his two departures, but the only one I can reasonably critique him for is the Cleveland one. Which was also kind of a circus due to LeBron's involvement.

That, and the narrative that he makes his teams worse, which is only conjecture at best, and doesn't actually seem borne out by the efficiency of his numbers and his quick decision-making, i.e. facts & reality.

Most fans still seem stuck on these narratives, refusing to see how well he's fitting in here, but I figure that will fade with time. Fresh outrages and new offenses to their sensibilities will probably seduce them away. :P
