Levert can at least create for himself and others, he's just off to a slow start. We have to give him until the end of the season at least. Prince is who he is at this point. We don't need one dimensional players. We should of gave that contract to Joe.

LeVert is garbage there's a lack of accountability on this team. And some of you act like you are scared to be honest about players and coaches.

I know you're not talking to me, I'm one of the harshest critiques around here. Talk to your boy MDB lol he's the one that gets defensive when you call a player out. You definitely know Levert is not garbage, we've seen him grow as a player. He is just injury prone. He'll have a breakout game soon then he'll find his rhythm. But I do question his fit on this team when KD comes back.

Wasn't thinking of any one in particular when I posted that but if the shoe fits wear it..
On Caris he's a career 43 percent shooting this year is his lowest at 39.9.
His defense is worse than ever.
He's shooting 61 percent from the free throw line. This may sound pessimistic but his performance so far this season has been garbage. I'd welcome a trade because as you said I question his fit on this team.

Outside of that we had:

Rodi's DV case
Kyrie breaking his face and missing some training camp + preseason
China debacle
Chandler's PED suspension
Harris playing a ton of off-season minutes in the Olympics
LeVert surgery
Kyrie shoulder impingement
Little to no improvement from LeVert, Allen, Pinson or Musa
Prince playing worse than advertised

Right now we're on par with the Chicago Bulls in Net RTG. Poor execution and effort has been a theme all season. That's just not Nets basketball.

I know some of y'all are gonna cry about this being an overreaction to a loss against the best team in the league. It's been happening all year. Things are gonna have to change QUICKLY if Kenny doesn't want to get on the hot seat. Which IMO is basically the worst case scenario for this season.

You outline how bad things have been from an injury/lgeal standpoint and how little time we have had togehter as a team with alot of new pieces to gain chemistry.

Yet we still managed to be a few games under .500, despite all of that. people have praised kenny for his job this year of keeping the team afloat. we could not win another game and marks wouldnt consider firing him. he is likely to get an extension this year.

we could be .500 by the allstar break. after the lakers we play 5 straight losing teams. even if we lose ot philly and the lakers the next 7 are:

pistons
knicks
pistons
bulls
wizards
suns
Warriors (still no curry)

we could be 25-25 after that stretch.

I thought Kyrie and Allen played great D... especially early on. Kyrie drew 2 chargers and had 2 steals on Giannis and Allen blocked and altered several of his shots. They didnt seem to miss from 3, even on well contested shots. our offense killed us in this one. a brick fest on great looks. they made kyrie a passer and he found the open guy, but it wasnt falling. missing joe hurts, he makes our offense run. we were 0-6 without him last season.

It is funny people are pointing out leverts bad defense and kind of bashing him now... considering ive been saying for 3 years he is a weak defender and said he was closer to a role player then an all-star and you guys KILLED me for it. Some people wanted to give him a 120 million extension and now call his 50 million deal overpaid. lol.

Levert will be ok once you adjust your expectation to something realistic. he was never gonna be a 20/5/5 guy, not iwth spencer and kyrie here.

Defensively it will be easier when temple comes back and we can hide caris on their worst offensive player.

I only record games I know I'll be missing (which sometimes I have to record a later encore for when unexpected events pull me away) since my DVR could only hold so much. I do get YES though so yeah, I'll (and I hope others who read this) keep a closer eye on the segment.

Dude, I literally called out LeVert and Prince in this thread.

And I find it hilarious that kamaze is talking about bring honest about players when he was one of the people clutching pearls about Kyrie correctly stating that the roster needs work.

And MDB would have you waiting for this team to get better waiting for nothing. The team is 1-3 in their last 4 games they're 18-23 but wait the team is going to get better somehow lol. You are what your record is.

You seem happy about it. Good to know that the Nets losing pleases you I guess.

It's just really odd that you take pleasure in the Nets losing, and constantly attack Kyrie Irving like you did with D'Angelo Russell.

This is not a championship roster.

Some pieces will need to be moved.

Don't get mad at Kyrie for speaking the truth.

LeVert and Prince signed extensions and they have been awful. Let's start there before you want to start bitching about Irving.

I have all the faith in Markinson. Unlike previous years we got competent FO this time around. I think smart move be to ride this thing out and make moves if necessary during off-season. I'm among the others should keep myself calm and avoid hot takes. Be hard though with the way team underperforming, lack of effort is just a killer.

Yeah, I have faith that Marks will do what is needed. Guys aren't pulling their weight right now and if it requires trades, so be it, because we cannot afford to go into next year with players who aren't performing consistently.

We absolutely need to turn it around during that stretch. This is a critical time of the season imo.

Well said, you were on the money about LeVert. I don't want to be down on him but his inconsistency isn't some fluke, this has been the case every season with him. Injuries (not his fault), and inconsistency. Hopefully he can prove to be a solid RP for us but if we have to move him in order to get someone to help bolster this roster for next season Marks absolutely must do his due diligence. Pre-K is over.

The crappy part is... if you had realistic view of who levert was as a player (closer to a high level role guy than a low level all-star) you (not you) wouldnt be disappointed in him now because role guys always struggle with consistency especially ones who battle injuries

i love levert. i have since we drafted him. i think he is a great fit and a great teammate. he has a big role here now and the future likely. but he isnt a 20/5/5/ guy and he wont be
