Inexcusable. We can't sit and pretend that KD and Kyrie will magically fix this issue.

i feel like putting the ball in Kevin Durant hands in the 4th quarter fixes this without any magic required

I still feel like we can add a bit more to this roster to help him out.

your talking auxilliary pieces. temple level players. there are basically 3 options i see:

1) Blockbuster. all our assets for a third star:
Dinwiddie/Levert/Allen/Kurucs/musa/philly pick for a Beal level player.

2) consolidating guards. Something like Dinwiddie + Levert + 2nd rounders or Philly pick for someone like Lavine, Aaron Gordon. that still youngest guy just coming into his prime you hope takes a DLo type jump from fringe all-star to legit all-star.

3) Run it back plus the MLE and trade our pick to solidify depth. Like the Tax-payer MLE to bring back Allen Crabbe or Jeff Teague and then get a ring chasing vet as 3d/4th string PG. Delladova?

I think we will see Harris, Prince, Allen, DJ all back 100%. Probably at least one of dinwiddie and levert. and Allen will be back if he isnt included in a blockbuster. id guess its probably #3 with something looking like:

Kyrie | Dinwiddie | Dellevadova
Harris | Levert | Crabbe
Prince | Temple
Durant | Chandler | Kurucs
Allen | DJ | Claxton

Like that going into the season with marks having an eye open on how he can consolidate levert/kurucs/claxton /pick into a better healthier version of levert.

I think retaining Harris and Dinwiddie is a must because I feel like they can be championship level roleplayers. DJ is going nowhere, I doubt Prince does either. Allen and LeVert probably can draw legitimate interest on the trade market.

Part of me wants to kick the tires and see how we do with all of this depth when we have Kyrie and KD because it's hard to gauge how we'll look with them. Without them it makes it easy to panic and say we aren't going to be that great when in reality we don't know. Another part of me wants to maybe use some of what we have to bring in a significant piece to really solidify the roster as a viable championship contender.

I'll sit back patiently. Marks has my trust.
