Man this game was PERFECT ! it looks like this team is clicking already right out the gate. We're going 82-0 lol but seriously that was a show we put on. People was worried about our defense but it looks like we're so fast and quick out there and moving all over the place. Hope we smoke the Saltics too on Christmas . You can tell Kyrie is determined, dude couldn't miss.

This team is looking like a well oiled machine. Chemistry is looking nice and although it’s early people’s concern about our defense is overblown. We'll be fine. I like Caris off the bench but Allen should be starting.

By the way, if you watched the tail end of the pre game show, Kenny Smith was asked who would win last night and he flat out said the Warriors.

I like the guys on TNT, but I swear to God for guys who are hall of famers and nba champions, their analysis is lazy as hell.

How on earth could anyone have seen this roster compared to Golden State and would call for a Nets loss? These guys get caught up in the narratives about KD and Kyrie and let logic fly out of the window.

As someone else said, we aren't going to go 82-0. But if our two heavy hitters stay healthy, we should be legitimately viewed as a serious threat to win it all

I actually thought that both Allen and DJ played well last night. Right now, I leave things as is because Allen causes serious problems for the opposing 2nd units on both ends.

We have a serious luxury right now with how much depth that we have. Might as well use it to our advantage

Did you take the Nets at -7.5  i saw that and tried telling my boys that it was easy money. The cowards didn't budge, and then around 10pm I get texts saying "holy **** at the Nets" :nonono:

The Nets are going to be printing money this season goddamn it!!!

I still can't believe we have KD on our team. I will not take this for granted.

My Thoughts on the game....

1) Kyrie is a PROBLEM for the league this year. dude had a bounce in his step. lets put offense aside for a minute. he was all over the floor. chasing curry around screens, grabbing rebounds and pushing, deflecting passes, switching and ball denials way out towards half court... we saw this alot last year, but it was toned down due to injuries and what not.

Offensively, I think he could be better then durant this year. KD is the better offensive player, but Kyrie is more aggressive and the focus will be on KD. when you dont have 10 eyes on kyrie he is going to absolutely cook you. the baselne drive to the spin and take to the rack was something straight out of uncle drew. Kyrie is so fun to watch.

2) KD and Kyrie have each others back and it shows. And its an important dynamic they are forming. its like "the world/media vs us" mentality. they have both been killed by the media so much that they know how it goes. and the media cant really focus on one or the other. And their voices cant be ignored when they stick up for the other guy because of their stardom. When joe harris came out last year and said kyrie is tight with him and doesnt want him trade it was ignored and the narrative was kyrie hates allen and harris and wants them delt. but when KD speaks or makes a statement like clowning TNT in the interview, it echoes. these guys arent alone to take shots from the media anymore. they galvanize eachother and its fun to see the chemistry.

3) Love Levert off the bench. i always thought it was an awful fit for him to start. he needs to be aggressive and dominate the ball to be at his best. he can do that as a super 6th man. if the three is falling like it has been the last 30 games and he can stay healthy and he can find some consistency he could win 6MOY. Likewise, I love dinwiddie starting and I love how he seems to embrace his new role. he is like the draymond green of this team. whatever they need. he can defend, he can switch, he can pass/run pick and roll, he can score. and he seems to have a great attitude about it.

4) Harris/Shamet have not yet gone off. at some point, teams will realize KD/Kyrie will continue to shoot 60% or better if you dont find a way to help. when that happens, those 2 are going off for three.

This was just the perfect opener. no injuries, no let down, our stars played unreal, our role guys did their thing, and we blew them out.

It was also fun to see kyrie continue to dominate curry.

Landry Shamet is going to make a lot of fans on this board. I still laugh at how under the radar people treated that trade. That right there really put our depth over the edge. Shamet is a cold blooded dog
