true , i mean he's only going against a top 3 offensive player in history lol. He made some good 3s and some nice deflections. We could of used him here instead of Shamet.

Getting Batum would have meant using the MLE

Using the MLE would have meant we were hard capped

Being hard capped would have prevented us from giving harden, or we would have had to include harris and dinwiddie as well

No it doesn't mean using our MLE. Batum signed for the vet min. I don't even think we reached out to him.

that was a mistake if so, because Shamet sucks.

I mean, we DOMINATED philly with 0 of our big 3 playing. we just beat a team much better then philly who is a worse matchup for us then philly.

Teams are not going to beat us with bigs dominating. just ask the Nuggets (jokic), Jazz (gobert), magic (vucevic) or even embiid himself.

The sixers are a joke fraud team. the only reason they are in first is because the east has been so wonky this year.... COVID cancelling games or keeping stars out for boston/miami. Nets had Kyrie out, Durant out on COVID, Harden just arrived. With their record, philly should be like a 3 seed right now, not a 1. it wont be long before we are 1.

Teams that hurt us have quick guards and ball handlers who can shoot the 3 and play pick and roll. thats the opposite of philly. im more worried about toronto then philly.

We philly dominate the glass? prbably
will embiid get 30-35? probably

but it will be in a losing effort.

I wish I could share your confidence with Philly. Until we find solid big boy who can block shots and play d on a perimeter I'm holding my chip expectations low.

Have you seen Raps play, they bad and it shows. That record ain't fluke. Its over for Lawry too, he's washed.

Maybe we wont win a title, but it wont be because philly gets in our way. offs are they are knocked off before we would even play the, they arent a great team. and it has consistently been shown you can embarass them despite embiid going off, especially in the playoffs.

If the bgi 3 play i expect a blowout win. im more concerned about toronto if we rest one of the big 3. i mean we smashed philly with 0 of the big 3.

I heard same stuff been said by many when it came to Dirk led Mavs. Philly is a legit threat and have enough talent to compete vs any team. We several months away from PO, my question with them can Biid stay healthy, hes already ding up. On the other hand same could be said about us. Can Kyrie and KD stay healthy and play legit min come PO time. Right now they logging some heavy min due to our depth.

The team was 100% interested in Batum - and Ibaka - they just chose the Clippers over us.

I assume Durant is sitting out tonight’s game because of the back to back?

right and we would have needed to outbid them for his services. and since we didnt have cap we would have needed to use all or part of the MLE, both of which would have triggered the hard cap.

They really dont have that much talent...

We have more talent.
Boston has more talent.
Milwaukee has more talent.

And as far as the playoffs go, no east team has performed worse/choked more then philly. Their tanking culture bred a losing culture.

Embiid is great but it doesnt matter. its extremely hard to win in this era if your center is leading you in usage/FG attempts. Case in point embiid had 37 last night and they got blown out by the lillard-less, McCollum-less, Jones jr-less, Nurkic-less Blazers.

If the corpse of carmello anothony can beat you when your star goes off for a super efficient 37, you're a pretender. and they are very much pretenders

there is no team id rather see in the playoffs, id rather face them then even the 8 seed teams like the knicks/cavs/hornets.

Philly is not a real threat.

Once the playoffs start Simmons will be exposed like he always is. They will essentially be playing 4 on 5 on offense every time down the floor.

Embiid can get his numbers and the Sixers can lose. We saw that last year.

You can't win in the NBA with a PG who can't shoot.

Milwaukee we know the story. Giannis might as well change his nickname to Mr. Meltdown.

If anyone is a real threat I would pick Boston. Tatum/Brown are legitimate stars who can score at all 3 levels and play high level defense. Not to mention Stevens will coach circles around Nash. Although I still think they are not ready yet.

Agree with all of this. and Tatum/Brown/Smart have proven they will show up in big games.

I worry more about boston/indy then i do philly/milwaukee and frankly it isnt that close.

We need to start playing some damn mid tier level defense before you guys start talking about who we are going to be smacking around.
