Biggest win of the season so far. You simply can’t count us out when Harden is in the game. He has carried teams for long stretches this exact way and has built confidence in the players you can see it. Nash did a great job and you have to think Dantoni is also a huge asset. He was coach of the year not long ago and has a wealth of knowledge with Hardens game. Jeff Green is also a huge asset. What an incredible win!!!

Forget all that
As long as Vegas keeps setting the O/U under 260 we need to hit that mother **** er EVERY SINGLE TIME![]()
!!
Dude, I’m telling you with the adjusted totals too. Believe the highest they offered tonight was like 249.5 at like +$1100, it would have covered by 2.5.

Re: GT: Nets @ Suns, 1030pm EST 2/16
Rewatching the game again, I have to give Landry Shamet and Tyler Johnson their props. They have been showing up as a tandem off of the bench as of late and are rewarding Nash with solid play on both ends. If these two can continue to be reliable shooters and play scrappy defense, this makes our depth rise up several notches.
the leadership displayed by James Harden and Jeff Green was top notch. Both of them keep chirping, kept keeping guys heads in the games. The Beard never once gave up on his teammates in the face of insurmountable odds.
And can we finally start giving Steve Nash his due? He has turned this team around since the Washington loss. We aren't perfect by any means but we are getting stops, the defensive rebounding has been a lot better and overall the team has looked like they are heading towards being the top team in the east.
Now we just need a) Scary Hours to get consistent time together and b) The buyout market to yield a back up center and possibly another wing that can play two way.
LeBron better get his sleep before tomorrow.

The Philly game was very winnable Dow 11 with with 5 minutes left but Nash waved the flag to early. He didn’t bring back harden and Harris for some reason. Last night he learned his lesson

This Brooklyn Nets team is a Juggernaut, and you can see they have "team chemistry" now.
I cant see anyway durant plays. that would be really short sighted by the team. Hamstring is one of the toughest injuries to have in-season and the easiest to reaggrivate. also, the next few games he does play will definitely be a minutes restriction

Re: GT: Nets @ Suns, 1030pm EST 2/16
This was obviously a huge gutty win. but after 2 watches now, it was extremely impressive. when we were down 26 in the first half i knew we would make a run. Anytime a team is up 25+ early that typically isnt sustainable. it is just natural you take your foot off the gas, starting taking lazy shots and coast a bit on D. I didnt think we would win, but i felt we had a 10 point run at some point...
3 things stand out thought that tell you something about this teams chin:
1) We (really Harden) didnt let up the last minute of the first half. he went on a quiet 7-2 run to close the half. taking it from a 24 point lead to a 19 point lead. that was lo-key big for us
2) We got hot to start the second, but they kept responding. we cut it to 16 they hit a 3. we cut it to 13 they hit back to back threes. on three seperate occastions we took it under 20 and they got it right back to 20. Once we cut it ot single digits the same thing happened. Harden cut it to 8 with a 3 and they hit back to back thees and had it back to 12-14 points going into the 4th. they didnt let the damn break but we kept chipping away at it when we could have easily thrown in the towel (like we did vs philly)
3) Once we got within 1 possesion game the team knew they were going to win. you could see it in their body language and you could see it psychologically the suns knew it too. that 2 possesion lead was their mental safety net and once that was gone they were cooked... the Harden 3 at the end was inevitable.
Some thoughts on the game....
Props to Nash for continuing to go to zone more and more. Kenny used it, sometimes for entire games last year. we dont need to be great defensively we just need a stop here and there. no one can stop us from getting to 120, ESPECIALLY if we get stops and can get out in transition and get harden downhill.
Just give TLC the season jester now. i love the dude, dont get me wrong, went from d-leaguer to a rotation guy on a title contender... but he has the worst hands of any small ive ever seen. get the dude some stick'em
DJ continues to play well. And Green has been a high point all year long. but im not sure that is a 48 minute duo. really hoping for mcgee. that would really solidify the C spot
Tyler Johnson is looking like he did in the bubble for us. Shamet is playing like the guy we saw pre-covid infection. those 2 things make an enormous difference. When one or both are on with harden vs. other teams benches is just like 8-12 point runs left and right.
just a great win. 1 game back of philly who is a fraud and only #1 because the east has sucked all year. they really have the record of a 3-5 seed.
Watching the brown lineups without shamet/harris... we can still be elite offensively with 2 non-shooters on the floor. i really want to see brown/roberson or brown/shump or shump/roberson with the big 3. i think thats a low key death lineup. the big 3 with anyone is death offensively and 2 defenders next to them is enough stops to stomp people

Oh also for jester i give it to the TNT play-by-play guy.
His call on harden's dagger three was awful. 0 enthusiasm or even awareness that we just hit an enomrous shot. weak.

I've only just woken up the game didn't finish till 6am in the UK and I couldn't sleep after. I have to admit that at half time I was making excuses in my head about why we would lose luckily the team had more belief than me. I mentioned before that what is standing out to me is the team spirit Harden was the hero of the game but everyone stood up with him. The players could have gone in with a mentality that we don't have KD/Irving so what do you expect but 2nd half they came out fighting they had me believing as well! just to add these 3/3.30 am games are killing me lol

Re: GT: Nets @ Suns, 1030pm EST 2/16
Can't front went to bed expecting this to be a high scoring affair in the Suns favor. It was a very pleasant surprise to see the box score upon waking up this morning. Too fuggin' busy with work to re-watch it, but I know when teams come back from being down big does wonders for the mental state of playing the game. Hopefully, the players are starting to buy in and believe on any given night, they are the best team on the floor. Regardless of opponent. Good win for sure.
OKC Thunder fan, too.

Re: GT: Nets @ Suns, 1030pm EST 2/16
To me the most impressive part of this win is WE WON IT, the Suns didn't LOSE IT.
To the contrary, CP3 got flaming hot in the 4th Qtr and couldn't miss a shot, which continuously prevented us from tying the game or taking the lead much earlier in the 4th Qtr. The only reason we were still in a position to steal it late is because 1) We answered every CP3 dagger, shots that would have made most teams just quit, it was that demoralizing, but we just kept answering over and over again, which allowed us to remain close enough to steal. Then down the stretch we made some critical stops, CP3 came back to earth, Harden was unconscious, and we WON IT. That's why this was a championship caliber team type of win in my view.
And of course we did it without KD and Kyrie in the second of west coast back-to-backs, verses a red hot team.

Lol at LeBron already with the built in excuse if they lose.
“It’s always exciting for me to go against some of the best guys in the game — and they got three of them,” James said. “They got three of the best guys in the game. Definitely would love to be full when you’re playing against a team like that and see, like, at that point in the season, how you match up — how you match up against some of the best teams in the league. And, obviously, we won’t be full on Thursday.

Yeah and I notice he forgets to mention the Nets are not at full strength with our BIG 3 either.

I just realized Nash might get to coach the East All-Star team. It’s down to him and Doc. Wow.
The NBA will announce the All-Star Starters during Thursday night.

. All of the sudden you ran into comments like this and get hot takes to exaggeration level I'm not used to hear

Shamet and TJ just played solid and you already hearing about depth. Let Din come back and Nic get his feet around. We still got time to before PO.

Everybody not named Harden shot 55%... hit 15 out of 29 three pointers... missed only one free throw... outrebounded opponent...
Harden was easily the best player. But it's not like he was playing with a bunch of misfit toys.

A silver lining of stars missing games is the role players get more playing time to show what they've got and gain more confidence. Come playoff time, this may become huge.

Shamet's defense on Booker on his last shot was literally perfect. Bodied him up without fouling and prevented him from getting deep position, stayed in front of him, didn't leave his feet and contested him beautifully. And he was left on an island without any help.
Even with the 3s he hit, that was his most impressive play to me.
