Lol. Dude, this isn’t his first time being doubled. On the Rox he was constantly being double even TRIPLE teamed because he was their ONLY player worth paying attention to. And how many times have you seen him taking less than 10 shots on the Rox?
This is 100% true. James Harden has the ability to completely take over games and dominate. He was double-teamed every night. For some reason on the Nets he’s choosing to be the third wheel and instead deferring to everyone else.

One thing he was great at in Houston was having a sense of when to get others involved and when to take over by himself. For whatever reason in Brooklyn, he hasn’t really tried to assert his scoring dominance.

Yep, Harden routinely saw this kind of coverage in Houston. Also, am I supposed to believe that Kyrie would struggle that much with getting trapped? He's way more capable than this, they both are. I don't wanna hear **** about how its not their fault.

He literally cannot contest any shooters, whether its his own matchup, on switches, or off screens. He's very lazy on help defense, and while he's a better rebounder than other options, we still routinely give up offensive rebounds with him in, as he has his ball watching moments. Offensively, as a rim runner, outside of lob passes or high passes, he cannot catch the ball either. I'm not saying that we cannot play him more, but I completely do understand why we don't. We desperately need a high energy, mobile big on this roster. A Javale McGee or Nerlens Noel would do.

He isnt the best defensive rebounder. but he is 500 times better then the alternative
He isnt the best shot blocker. but he is 1000 times better then the alternative
He is the only threat to finish inside with a dunk if you dont stick to him as an opposing big, even if he fumbles some

when he is in, you get punished for helping with your bigs on harden/kyrie drives. when he is out, you dont.

he has some bad games too. when he does, ride green. but when we are getting demolished with green on the floor and came back/took the lead with DJ, you at least go back to DJ to see how it goes

again, not saying play DJ 32 minutes a night. but give him at least 20 minutes and let him see the floor in the 4th, ESPECIALLY with durant out when we dont have a PF in addiiton to not having a center. Harris/Green cant be your PF/C for 30 minutes
I don't disagree with you on some of these things. DJ did play 18 minutes last night btw, so it is close to the 20. I think lately we've been overplaying Green a lot, so I don't disagree. We had Perry in the rotation who was complete garbage, and now he has been taken out, his minutes have all gone to Green. To me, the solution is getting another capable center like the ones I mentioned (a McGee or Noel). Maybe Pelle can help but I'm skeptical on that. Nash wasn't opposed to playing centers until very recently when Perry just got taken out of the rotation. So my thinking is that it has to do more with the quality of our center options, and once that improves, we won't be going small as often.

Raps won fair. great. its a team we should have beat sleep walking. The durant thing was weird and Nash continues to coach more to help the other team win their ours. Awesome. do you want like a cookie or something?

No, I don’t want a cookie. I want you to respect the heart of a champion and the fact that money and stacking teams does not qualify you to sleep walk win against anyone. Once you accomplish that elusive goal - being a champion - you can talk the talk.

Heart of a champion my ass. You guys have made a living off of Kevin Durant being removed in the middle of games. If he didn't get jerked around last night that game goes an entirely different direction. But yeah, congrats, good luck making the playoffs down there with the rest of the cellar dwellers

Wow so bitter. Kevin had 8 points in 19 minutes, with 5 fouls. He would have had to sit out the 3rd and most of 4th quarter. He didn't do anything special anyway. Don't be so entitled. The reality is Harden is a bum and likes to ball watch on D. Y'all are gonna have to play D if you wanna be a a real contender.

Haha no rebuttal on the point I made about KV's effectiveness or lack thereof?
Wish my team was as cool as the Nets with their 0.560.

You really came here to post this? lol

Tears of laughter at your stupidity aren’t exactly the same as tears of pain, bro. Nobody is sweating this game beyond the BS by the NBA protocol or minor annoyances from Steve Nash/Staff but ultimately, nobody remotely cares about the Raptors overall across the league, on TV and as fans, not even the Knicks are worried about y’all.

That win doesn’t change the fact nobody cares about the game itself for the Raptors expect their fans, tbh. People respect the culture but y’all are really lame and annoying. You won a championship and went down as the longest reigning champs ever.

Yet, you are still worried about being an irrelevant ass franchise to the Nets or Knicks. I admire the balls to show up here but there is a reason why Raptor fans are quiet. Beat writers were quiet. Follow that advice.

Now, go run along and post in the Tampa Bay forum where you belong.

One look at the responses in this thread shows you lots of people were sweating this game. Nice try though.

Who ever gave you the idea that what you care about matters to other people? Just because you went and bought some stars with money you think your opinion is so relevant. In essence nobody cares that you don't care.
As for the media, don't be so proud that they're covering your franchise, its just how the mindless cycle of the media goes, don't read too much into it. As basketball fans I expected you to be able to engage in better conversation but just look at the responses. Petty attacks that make them look weak.
Speaking of stupid, what comes to mind is mindless fans being sensitive of constructive criticism about their team.

Haven’t thought about this game since it ended, it’s whatever to me at this point, it’s the RS, **** happens. I do know that we likely win this game with Durant in, but we should have won anyway, your team isn’t that good, but they played over their heads and stole the game. Don’t think there’s anything controversial about saying any of that.

I know I’d much rather be the Nets than the Raptors right now.

I’m sorry if a regular season win against the Nets is the Raptors championship round for you.

Fortunately, we’ve beaten real contenders in the East and West.
