The problem with starting Brown is what will you play him?

At the 3? I don't really want Harden guarding wings.

I think its downsizes us too much.

I would rather start Green for defense. Or perhaps even Alize, as crazy as that sounds. Even though Nash won't play him.

Against guards, forwards and even centers of all heights, weights, lengths, speeds and strengths, Bruce Brown is a significantly better defender than Jeff Green.

I was just mad before the SA Game because we've waited so long to get the BIG 3 back together and then Kyrie wasn't playing. I'm also obsessed with sweeping this home-stand (two more) and getting that 2 seed, because I KNOW it's the much easier path to the second round, and I'm already disappointed that we blew the #1 seed. Lastly I'm not saying it is right or wrong, but I do believe it's generational. I used to play in pickup games and indoor leagues and they were rough leagues. Black-eyes and bloody noses or lips was fairly common, and we didn't stop playing, and we was playing for free, just because we liked playing. That's why I said when I started out, if Kyrie has a broken bone in his face (because I know he has that history) then I apologize, but if not I thought there was too much at stake (aforementioned) to sit that game out. To me Bruce Brown is a perfect example. My man is playing with a broken nose.

We won the game so alls well that ends well, but I'm not gonna apologize for wanting to win too much. If that makes me a dinosaur, so be it, I can live with that. I know times have changed and I'm not sensitive enough.

I get it. I'm not clueless. To expect someone to play with a high ankle sprain the way Isaiah did in the finals is crazy talk now. Barring a few anachronisms that's just not happening anymore, but I'm not calling them stupid.

I don't want Bruce Brown on the likes of Kawhi or LeBron. Green can do a better job.

And he gives up spacing. Its a no brainer. Brown can be super useful when one of Kyrie or Harden are sitting down.

Brown definitely has his use next to the big 3, he showed glimpses of early season finishing touch last night. With the attention the big 3 will command, you can always have at least one non shooting threat who can finish at the rim or be effective in the paint. Brown is an especially terrific offensive rebounder for his size as well, so he helps in that department. Nash seems to recognize that in fairness, and Brown's playing time increases when the team's stars are healthy.

Against LAC, we would put Irving on Beverly, Brown on George, Harden on Leonard, Durant on Morris and Griffin (or whomever is the starting C of the moment) on Zubac. That's better than having Harris or Green
on either George or Morris, to start the game. If you can keep those secondary scorers under wraps to start a game, it makes controlling the tempo and flow that much easier.

I've said since the beginning of the season, we'll before Lebron's and Anthony's injuries, that the Lakers are not my top concern out West. I never believed that they would make it to the Finals again, now it looks like they may not even make it out of the play-in! Hypothetically of we did face them, LBJ, AD, Kuzma, Harrell and Markieff could all go off on Uncle Jeff, if we over-expose him as a starter. As a scoring/energy punch off the bench, he's wonderful.

I'm not sure why some don't think Lakers top team to beat to be honest. There were multiple reports that LBJ working out with personal trainers instead of team and looked 100%. If true they definitely team to beat. Not one team out there in WC have s*** on them.
