However, he is definitely a work in progress as he will need to learn how to produce without a high volume of shots coming his way. Thankfully, he will have plenty of time to sit and learn. It will be fun to see how this guy develops.

not so much cold blooded as he is a YOLO no sh*ts given type of nick young player. which is good in some ways but there is no off switch for that. its why the nick youngs of the world are still nick youngs at 25,30, and 35.

He is gonna be who he is. just gotta hope he puts in the work to go from an inefficent chucker to an efficient chucker. He already gets to the line. his shooting will need to come a long way.

You just hope he becomes an elite 6th-man type like Lou Williams.

I don't think there should be any career defining judgment going on here. It's great that he can score, however, we see that he has a lot of room to improve and he's 19. I can't stress that enough.

So much hate for Cam. Saying hes Nick Young.

So stupid. Hes an incredible scorer and hes only 19. Of course he can improve and become more efficient. How many guys are truly efficient their first year in the league?

I agree. Mapping out a 19 year old kid's career potential before he's even played a full season in the NBA is really going overboard. Can we let the guy play and learn before basically calling him a scrub?

1) Saying summer league stats are poor measure and we should use caution with knee-jerk reactions to it and rely more on the college body of work and what we see training camp and moving forward is not "Hating on cam"

2) Comparing him to Nick young is not an insult. Young was similar in size and playstyle, with similar concerns coming out of college/as an early pro. Nick Young had a had a successful 13 year career, with a 6 year stretch where he was a 14-18 ppg player a sa 6th man. Nick young has his flaws, but there is nothing wrong with having a nick young in the right role

No one should expect cam to be efficient. he wasnt in college and rookie gunners rarely are. thats the point. dont knee jerk because of summer league and put expectations on these guys that are insane for late 1st round 20ish year old rookies with 1 year of college ball.

Levert was super inefficient and he helped us alot too. there is a role for cam. its just probably not efficient 15/5 guy off the bench who hits a ton of open threes in year 1.

Yeah, no. Summer league is a place since 90s where guys like Dirk were crapped on and fans making takes like this can be allowed to go under the radar for decades trying to be right.

You quite honestly are usually wrong about half of the things you dislike or poo poo on. You got brutally embarrassed over LeVert, Claxton, the career trajectory of Brook Lopez and other examples…

At some point, you should stop and realize you aren’t as smart as you think you are on these topics and allow others to share a optimistic approach instead of the “I know it all” trope that usually looks foolish.

You make us look bad.

Everyone is allowed to have their opinion.

But his constant insistence that hes right about everything and everyone else is an idiot, is what irks me.

The same guy who was 100% sure the Celtics would have a worse record than us 2 years ago was forced to don a signature saying he didn't know basketball for months. And yet he continues to act like hes the Nostradamus of basketball.

Well deserved, especially considering how much hype were surrounding the first 5 picks of the draft.

Can't wait for this kid to get into training camp and scrimmages against the Big 3.

Yes, everyone is supposed to have an opinion but being insanely wrong for years for warrant some accountability.

Right now he is what he is, whether the Nets can mold him into a complete player will only be known after years of development (if he's not traded before then)...

I don't see any issues with the Jordan Crawford, Marshon Brooks comparisons given who he is as a player right now, but I believe he's considerably younger than those two were when they came into them league so there's a better chance some of the bad habits can be coached out of him...
