Plays good defense and is a good rebounder, also shoots the 3 a whole lot better than the beginning of his career, he's a respectable 34% 3 point shooter on 3.5 attempts. Has played a good role in Portland's success. I would much rather get DMC back but if not then Aminu wouldn't be a bad replacement. Maybe mid-level?

He'd be a good signing.

But they still suck. What would you rather be a team that wins or an annual loser?

Nix will be top 5 selling team out there no matter what. You can make a case that J.Kidd led Nets could've been a biggest story than Ewing and they still won't get the glory of NY. J.Kidd himself said he played on a wrong side of Hudsen river. It won't change until Nets will win a chip or KD and Kyrie will fail to reach finals. KD and Kyrie coming to the nix like or not they want that money and fame.

They make news but how many opposing arenas around the country are getting sell outs because the knicks are on town? merchandise sales? national TV games?

The Knicks make news nationally 99% of the time because of their incompetent ownership, not because they're bringing a hot brand of basketball to the table.

If Kevin Durant were to come to the Nets, the Nets absolutely would make national news. Hell, the Nets already started doing that this season without a superstar in place. What was the narrative about the Knicks?

as soon as they are a playoff team, every single one. if KD joins the knicks they will get the most national games

that wouldnt be in the news if it was most teams. their fame makes it a national story

you are 1000000000000000% missing the point. any team that wins or has a top 3 player will get attention. everyone knows that

but if he does it with the knicks it will be a bajillion times a bigger store, his fame will be bigger, his legend bigger. 1 title with the knicks would move his GOAT/myth more then 2-4 titles with the nets.

he would become a sport god winning with the knicks. with the nets he would just be another great player who won a title.

A title with the Knicks while having the support of Kyrie and Anthony Davis (although the latter is highly unlikely as the Knicks are far away from having the necessary trade pieces) doesn't help his legacy that much in my opinion. He needs to deliver a title in similar fashion like Dirk in 2011 as the sole elite player carrying a team of really good role players. The Knicks factor might get him some bonus points, but to me, it's most important how this team is constructed and how his impact is truly visible. We have all seen LeBron carrying absolutely underwhelming teams to not only final appearances but also some wins against stacked teams. KD hasn't delivered anything similarly impressive yet.

In New York or generally among people who care about the Knicks? Definitely. But if he simply wins another title with another super team, whether it's with the Knicks or any other franchise, to me he will still be the top player who bailed on his team after a huge choke job, joined a 72 wins team and chose the easiest path to rings. But that's just my personal opinion.

Are the Pelicans trading Davis for a package of Frank, Smith or, and Kevin Knox, Robinson?

doesnt matter. doesnt even matter if he sucked in the finals. he would go down as a god. he would be right there with messier, jeter, and eli.

being the knicsk savior is the last vacancy left in sports to immortalize someone.

There's really no need to argue this it's obvious winning with the Knicks trumps everything but it also comes with major scrutiny that unless he has changed recently I just don't think he can handle it. He will crumble under the pressure unless he can win and fast. Any adversity and KD may regret joining the Knicks.

With the Nets you can get a ready made playoff team with a chance to compete, far less pressure to win, but still have some glory of winning with a NY team that you carried unlike joining a super team. It's less pressure and will still help his legacy. Although not as much as it would with the Knicks.

KD wants to be loved lol. Nets don't really have a fanbase. Their would be a bunch of front runner Nets fans and that wouldnt feel as real as winning with the Knicks.

On a Harlem night nearly eight years ago, on the court at the heart of New York basketball, Durant captured both, unbridled. He calls that one-time Rucker Park appearance "a burst of joy I haven't felt on the court before."

This type of love is what I think KD is searching for. Nobody would appreciate KD more than Knicks fans.

im monitoring the klay thompson situation closely, if GSW dosnt give him the max and he does choose to leave, id make a hard full max offer to him the first second its available. It isnt Kawhi or Durant but he is a perfect fit for this team, a 2-way player who can give you 25 a night and arguably one of the 3 greatest shooters of all time.

Dlo and Levert with Harris and Klay to space the floor and allen rim running would be super fun

That is until they don't. He could easily become Melo if he can't get out of the ECF. Knicks fans are rough and they expect to win a ring if he comes. If he can't deliver he'd get crushed by the scrutiny. The pay off could be huge but lets not pretend it doesn't come with massive risk. It's not all sunshine and rainbows because if it was more players would sign with them.

You would run that lineup out there? We'd get killed inside with no PF. Fun no doubt but not sure that is a contending team.
