They were getting smoked by the Knicks. Forgot how much they were down by, but it was at least 30 pts.

Dinwiddie will be fine, just needs to make his open catch & shoot 3s, and do better on his drives to the basket. Dinwiddie is usually making quick decisions with that lineup, which is important. As long as he's out there to close, it doesn't matter much. Dinwiddie just seems like an awkward fit with KD and Kyrie, especially with Jordan also out there clogging things up. Dinwiddie just looks very hesitant out there. If they want to keep LeVert in the Manu role, I would not be shocked if Nash eventually swaps a guy like Shamet in for Dinwiddie.
Defensively, KD looks like he wants to patrol the paint like a center. I expected a good amount of small ball, but it may be more than anyone expected.

I feel the same way but I want to give MDA, Dinwiddie, and the staff 10 or so games to figure it out.
We’re so lucky that we can put almost anybody around KD & Kyrie and still have a dominant offense, so having Dinwiddie struggle in finding out whether he can succeed as the off-guard shouldn’t be too detrimental for us (unless Din keeps forcing these idiotic passes to DJ).
Caris is a better floor general/traditional PG than Dinwiddie, so I actually understand having Caris as ‘our Ginobili’ off the bench, as Nash suggested.
