Reddick is still my top buyout target.

He can be good playing off Butler and Bam. I thought highly of Miami even before they got him though, I think there's legit upset potential if we met them in the playoffs. I'm more worried about them than I am Philly or Milwaukee.

I thought Redick was traded to Dallas?

The idea of Butler and Oladipo beating Harden Kyrie Durant is unfathomable to me,

We would have the 3 best players in the series.

I don't see any serious threat in the East tbh. Only team that scares me is the Lakers.

It's not always only about talent. The matchup can make it tougher than it needs to be, and Miami matches up with us better than anyone other than the Clippers IMO.

Nunn can check Irving as well as anyone, and is good at attacking weak defenders on the other end. Don't be shocked if this very ordinary PG plays our All-Star to a stalemate in a series, due to our switch-all-screens defense putting KAI on an island.

Jimmy will face-guard James all series long. Whoever can score best from range will get the edge.

Oladipo gets to chase Joe, and he's capable of locking him down. Harris cannot stop Victor from running downhill and finishing at all, but he can wear him down a bit.

I think they'll put Bam on KD. There are very few defenders who I think could stymie Easy Money in the playoffs, and Adebayo is one. Will Kevin be healthy enough to stop him on the other end?

Jordan versus LaMarcus, IF they get him as rumored, would be interesting.

Then you have Dragic/Herro/Iguodala/Robinson/Achiuwa. I like our bench slightly more, ESPECIALLY if Spencer can contribute a bit, but this is no cakewalk. I still wouldn't expect us to lose, but it's a dicey potential opponent. I would literally rather see anyone else in the East.

Gave up Levert for Oladipo who they got nothing back for from Miami. Meanwhile Levert is looking good with Indiana.

Also gave up Allen for a first round pick? Are you kidding me? He's looking even better in Cleveland.

Houston could have had Levert, Allen, Christian Wood and all our picks.

That train is being run right off of the tracks down there. The poor coach looked like he wanted someone to end his misery. You hate to see it.

If this team is 100% Miami is not beating us. The idea that Kendrick Nunn shuts down Kyrie is hilarious.

The issue is, we have seen butler try and guard harden, and it didnt go well. He also hasnt had success vs Kyrie. Kyrie abused Nunn in the fist matchup. Dragic/Vincent did a better job the second matchup but that was more missing shots he usually makes and it was also an odd time when the big 3 first formed and played together.

I dont fear miami. oladipo doesnt move the needle for them in my mind at all and if anything moving olynick as a floor spacers makes me even more confident

i think it would go maybe 6 games but like a fake 6 games where they win game 5 after being down 3-1 cause we lose focus and then smash them in game 6

I dont think he fits their identity being such an awful defender. I think as a floor spacer he had a few decent seasons from 3 under pop but isnt really better in that aspect then olynck who while also not great on D can at least move faster then a snail. Them more then the lakers are a team id prefer not to get drummond since they already beat you up and drag it out.

They just dont have enough without lowry. they cant hold us to 100 points 4 times in 7 games and thats what it would take to beat us.

As far as the buy out market goes, I would like Dieng, Otto Porter, Mo Harkless, James Johnson, Hassan Whiteside. Dieng and Porter are my top 2 guys.

Nunn cannot check Irving

Have you lost your mind?

Nobody can "check" James Harden. Including Jimmy Butler.

Bam cannot at all guard KD. Not even close.

Our Big 3 will smoke them. You are hyping them up way too much.

They do not have the fire power to keep up with us. We are going to average 120 a game and there is no way in **** they can put up that many points with no elite scorers.

You guys are way too scared of a fluke from the bubble last year. They won't be facing Giannis aka Mr. Meltdown this year.

I'd take him as a block move from miami. not that i fear him going there, but they lost a stretch 5 in Olynk and this would make them move on to even worse/lower iq options

I forgot that Aldridge can step out to hit the three. That makes me want to reconsider him.

Agreed. Irving and Harden alone can beat Miami, you add KD and we are beating the brakes off of them and everyone else.

Like Charles Barkley said a few weeks back, the Nets are walking out there with nuclear weapons. Only injuries are stopping this train.

Why would we talk Aldridge?

Do we need another slow big who can't play defense? He would at best be a marginal upgrade over DJ who has developed chemistry with the guys and knows the system.

Claxton is our closing C in my view with Griffin having potential for minutes too.

The only player I would consider adding is a shooter or defensive wing.

Nobody left really entices me. Maybe Harkless but I doubt he would play.

I wouldnt play him. i wouldnt even issue him a jersey number. Like heres some warmups and a t-shirt... "go sit next to reggie perry and come up with some fun hand shakes". it would just be to make miami get an even worse stretch 5.

Once playoffs hit i want:

Claxton: 28+ minutes
DJ: 12-20 inutes
Green or blake: 0-15 minutes

Green/Blake can see more time at PF too. but for center thats how id break it down. Nic should win the starting gig by the playoffs and play 28+ minutes and close out games. Give DJ as many minutes as warranted based on effectiveness. and Green/Blake play as much smallball as is warranted depending on opponent/effectiveness/shots falling

Reportedly Lowry was very close to being traded to the 76ers

Dodged a bullet. Lowry has always been a killer verses the Nets.

None of those teams scare me.

Philly, Miami and Bucks are very good teams and should be one heck of series agaisnt them, but I feel confident against ANY team with KD/Ky/Harden + the rest of the squad. Not to mention we still don't know what's going on with the buyout market.

I really thought Dinwiddie was getting traded for some 2nd rounder/late 1st + decent role player but seems like Marks has other plans.

Will Dinwiddie be ready for playoffs time perhaps? or they just wanted to keep his DPE to sign some other player?

I have a feeling the Marksman isn't done.
