And one of my favorite goons. i didnt realize he was a free agent. Dude is tough as nails. he is NBA 1st team all-dark alley. Fits perfect. Shooting numbers not where greens were, but he can hit an open three and also play small ball 3. with blake, defense replacing green was more important then shooting in my opinion.

go get reddick or find a shamet replacement and this is a B or better offseason.

Yep. This is exactly the kind of guy we needed on this roster.

With Carter via trade, Brown via QO, and now Johnson we can put defense around the big3 1 through 5.

Carter can defend PG/SG
Brown can guard SG/SF/PF
Johnson can guard SF/PF/C
Claxton can guard PF/C and switch 1 through 5

you can put a combo of 2 or 3 of those guys around whoever of the Big 3 is on the floor and have offense and defense together.

Harden | Kyrie | Carter KD | Johnson
Harden | Carter | harris | KD | claxton
Harden | kyrie | brown | johnson | blake

Great post, Marks has really done a solid job with retooling the roster to add more balance.

We need a shooter to replace Shamet now

now with the news of spencer landing with the wizards, fingers are crossed that marks is working on a s&t and that pacers will be shipping myles turner to brooklyn. highly unlikely, but this is what I am holding out for. not really sweating the lack of action on the nets front. I am trusting marks to make some kind of splash!!

You think just like me. Olynyk has been shooting around 40% from 3 and has a defensive rating of 110.2 .He also passes well and plays team ball. Not sure why he is so underrated and nobody talks about his impact on the game. Aside from him the best center I see getting is Myles Turner. He would be the missing piece we need to have a fully balanced team.

Love both guys. the money isnt their for either... and if the money was there for turner, we dont have the assets to trade for him.

Lakers sign Monk (sneaky great signing) and Melo.

Feels like a Lakers vs Nets collision course in the finals. The RS game will have high ratings for sure, assuming health for both teams.

Obviously the Bucks, Warriors and Denver will be huge obstacles to stop that showdown from happening.

Where's the outrage for Lakers signing a 23 year old 40% 3pt shooter coming off a career year for minimum?

There won't be. Everything the Lakers do is great, everything that the Nets do is unfair.

How did Marks miss out on this is my question?

Right now, my biggest concern is adding one more three point shooter and a big man.

While both sides have their own obstacles, Lakers are going through the strong west where we go thru 2 research of playoffs bball(1st rd being a warmup per expectations)

Excellent news. Sucks for Bruce though that he didn't get any offers.

I think the fact that he was used in a very untraditional way caused teams to think he's just a gadget/gimmick player that wouldn't fit in their system.

forget the Bucks, the Heat are easily the second best team in our conference ..

While I don't necessarily disagree that the 1st R of matchup will be a warmup, I think it's probably the best the bottom half of the playoff range teams will be.

The Pacers, Bulls, Hornets, Bulls should all be better assuming health. Then there's the Knix, Celtics and Hawks. Much better depth in the EC this season.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
