$2K seems to be a lot for expensive leg warmers. Wouldn't it be easier to just take PEDs?

spaceballer wrote:He's using NormaTec devices for his legs for recovery after workouts. His younger brother, who signed with a team in Taiwan, and teammates use the same thing. The devices go for 2K each.

DS: I can see him averaging 18 points per game, with 7.6 assists, shooting 48 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range, and 84 percent from the free throw line.

Wow, is it homerism or does he know his stuff?

DS: The first 3 weeks I was just getting him to be consistent with his shot so when he’s off with his team this year he knows his shot and is comfortable with it. Just like a musician knows he’s working with a fine-tuned instrument. As the summer wore on, we worked on getting him to use the same motion on every shot he took, whether it was off the dribble, coming around a screen or whatever. Every single shot has to have the same jump, same release.

One of the things we did was I had my current players (Pinewood girls) be the passer for him on his three point shot, and he was hitting 85 pct of them. Afterwards Jeremy said to me, “That’s the best I ever shot.”

Sounds good!

Are you serious or just joking ? ... he is Lin's private coach ... he got the rights to talk about Lin's projection frankly and more so if asked by a reporter.

Lin and Doc Scheppler go way back together.... Scheppler was coaching Lin in the pre-Linsanity days while Lin was in high school.

Absolutely homerism, but in an odd way. I think some here think JLin can do 18/7-ish no problem. The 48%, we'd all take 42-45%. 40%, it's not impossible if Lin makes the new shot form stick, even through inevitable (can-still-play-through-it) NBA season injuries. Basic shot form smoothness and arc are pretty much there.

84% FT was oddly realistic. ;)

Sure. I'm sure there will be a lot of spectacular BrookLin alley oops. It just won't be as spectacular as ones with ultra athletic bigs like Ed Davis, D12 and Chandler.

Does Trevor Booker run the pick-n-roll? From his 61 dunks, only one dunk was from a pick-n-roll play from the point guard.

Quotes from Jeremy on Media Day.

Read on Twitter

Read on Twitter

On his new shooting form:

"I just continue to change my shot so it’s lower and more fluid. I’m a lot more confident. I think last season, I tried to change it, but it takes a little more, at least for me, it takes more than one summer. So I continue on that path and I feel way more confident the second year around.”

On Leading the Young Nets:

“I definitely feel a much stronger responsibility for this leadership role that I didn’t in my last two or three teams. I feel like for me here a lot of it is going to fall on me and Brook setting the tone, everyday in workouts, everyday we work, even how we live off the court, how we take care of our bodies, how we eat, sleep, everything. So we’re really going to have to set the tone for this leadership role I’ve been thrust into.

“That’s what I’ve known my whole life, as a basketball, so I’m comfortable with it.”

On team culture under Sean Marks:

"I’ve never had —so far, I could be wrong, maybe it’s just a big front— so far, I’ve never seen an organization care for their players holistically, from a 24/7 standpoint, versus when we’re on the court or when we’re practicing. Or at the arena. It’s all encompassing ... like the way you sleep or little stuff like how you set up your bedroom and how it impacts your sleep. All of that impacts your performance as an athlete.

“They’re really trying to do things right, to establish culture not just from when you step on the floor."

On protesting the National Anthem:

"I will say the one thing that I will make sure is I don't want to do anything alone. I want something to be united, I want there to be solidarity, because I don't want it to be X versus Y, or Group A versus Group B versus Group C or whatever. It has to be, if I do anything, I would want to be behind a stand of unity, because I think that's what we need. That's what I think our nation needs right now."

On reuniting with Kenny Atkinson:

“For me, a big part of my game is mental. So I have to be in the right frame of mind. And not playing and not having that chance and having that daily pressure thinking I might get cut, it really weighed at me. For me, him just being there and being in the gym, and pushing me and wanting to work out and bringing that energy was therapy in a lot of ways.”

On returning to New York City:

"I always prayed and asked God, ‘I want a chance to come back to New York,’ but I wanted it to be right. I didn’t want to come back to New York just to come back to New York.”

This guy's gonna be huge, he has a nose for the ball and Lin will get it to him. If he can knock down 3s it'd be a big bonus.

DS: I can see him averaging 18 points per game, with 7.6 assists, shooting 48 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range, and 84 percent from the free throw line.

Wow, is it homerism or does he know his stuff?

Absolutely homerism, but in an odd way. I think some here think JLin can do 18/7-ish no problem. 84% FT was oddly realistic. ;)

Um......so the only problem you've got is the 48%FG. If his jumpers go in, it's totally possible. Wasn't he shooting around this percentage at the beginning of the Lakers season?

Field Goal percentage is based off of various ways of scoring. Lin can maintain an efficient FG% by still getting into the paint and drawing fouls.

If he gets caught up into shooting jumpers. I highly doubt he would come close to 48%.

it'd definitely possible, and I hope Lin gets there like what Dragic did in Suns, I always think Lin can achieve whatever Dragic could achieve, there are similar in a lot of ways... However, I would not project that because I am afraid to jinx him ;-)...
