Listen it’s a nets board and I’m a Celtics fan so I’m not gonna get into a back and forth and derail your thread but this is just inaccurate. The idea that the media for the “entire time” has said there’s no chance KD can come back is just wrong. Zach Lowe has been saying that for 3 weeks minimum. Windy has echoed the same. The media has said “there’s real doubt the nets are even serious about moving KD” throughout the entire trade demand.

You just aren’t being accurate saying that. Kyrie and the nets are in a good place before training camp because 1) kyrie wants to be in Brooklyn and close to his home. It’s his preferred destination and 2) kyrie literally has no other alternative than to come into the season and have one of his best years ever. If he rocks the boat and creates more dysfunction he literally becomes even more of a red flag which limits his ability to get the greatest amount of $ possible.

There was zero market for kyrie except for the lakers. You don’t think he (kyrie) sees that and realizes how much that could hurt his finances if he doesn’t put his best foot forward this year? Personally from watching NBA for over 20 years ( before I was strictly European soccer fan ) one championship stood out for me the most , it was Dirks Mavs Championship for many reasons ( I still wanted Kidd to win one even after migraines fiasco ) but mostly this was so tough grinded championship, Dirks greatness and dedication from whole Mavs Squad , it was as close as Nets winning for me because of Kidd connection and great memories of him in Nets uniform
