I'd love to see his mpg go up to around 34 but I think he's limited since the Nets need to give minutes to Stauskas and Harris. Once Dlo comes back, there'll be a crunch.

Those shooting stats are even more impressive when you consider where he started out this season:

October: 35.9 FG% 22.2 3PT%
November: 45.3 FG% 33.3 3PT%
December: 47.6 FG% 42.5 3PT%

If he can develop into a legit offensive weapon, and I do think the potential is there, look out. For me, the most exciting player on our roster.

Can you believe that theres a Nets site "Nothin but Nets" that suggested like a month ago that we should trade Levert + 2nd round pick for Okafor? I laughed so hard at this when I read it. How can anyone write about Nets and think that would be even a thought....

That was disgusting. I remember seeing that and wondering if it was actually a Nets fan.

It shows that the bar for sports journalism is incredibly low at the moment.

He’s always been untouchable in my book. I’d trade D’Angelo before him.

I stand by the claim I made in July: He has the highest all around potential out of anyone on the roster.

He’s definitely out PG of the future.

My ideal 2020-21 starting lineup:
LeVert
Russell
Hollis-Jefferson
Max FA (Durant?! I can dream)
Allen

At first I was hoping he just wasn't going to be a bust. Then I was hoping he could be at best Kerry Kittle's level. He has past that already in my view. geniunely excited to see this kid play EVERY game. Same for RHJ and JA

Man this guy gets to the rim so effortlessly. Now that he's mixing in floaters + finding the open man after drives, he even more dangerous. The 3 ball is looking good when he has space on spot ups or off the dribble.

He's flashing prime Ginobili potential right now.

He’s gonna be a f***ing star. How many 6’7 guys can get anywhere on the floor and pass like he can?

Dinwiddie who? We should be starting Caris at the point when Russell comes back, he’s a better passer and a better penetrator to compliment Russells outside scoring.

I don't think I agree he's a better passer. Dinwiddie is more under control, CLV pushes the action. But CLV is a wing who can play some point. But CLV is vulnerable to untimely TOs because he's a risk-taker. And I like that, to a point. It's good to have both types on your team. CLV off the bench is fine because he can play a lot of minutes and finish games if the matchups warrant it.

Both players have their strengths, LeVert is more of a combo guard while Dinwiddie has been a pure point.

Also, while I don't think it's an issue, but LeVert hasn't played as well as a starter as opposed to coming in with the 2nd unit.

I would like for him to finish games though.

Caris Levert is incredible, I knew that he would get out of his little slump at the start.

Still think Dinwiddie is a better passer?

Dinwiddie is irrefutably better at limiting turnovers but it comes with a lack of aggression in my opinion. LeVert on the other hand is irrefutably better at passing in the pick and roll, which is the most important task that a PG has. Now that’s not a shot at Dinwiddie, LeVert is just special.

I think they are different passers, I don't think I said one is better than the other. I love CLV. I think he is special and he's one of my favorite players on the team.

I wrote in the GT. I don't see him as Manu. That's no diss, but the more and more I see him. It's messed to think it but
- he picks up his man fullcourt
- the minute you turn he's stealing it
- loose balls he's all over
- he drives to the rim wit intensity
- he makes the pass in traffic
- he brings the ball up and drives and kick

The kid keeps reminding me of Scottie.

can guard the 1-2-3-4-5.

I really don't see any comparison between LeVert and Ginobili, but I've seen more than one person say it. What's the specific comparison? their games are totally different to me.

I think Caris is definitely making a case for future starting point guard. it's been awhile since Russell has played and I don't want to dismiss him too soon given what this staff has accomplished with other players, but it's looking more and more that he's the off-guard in this offense with either Caris or Din as the primary ball handler. It's not because they are more talented than him, but rather their skills fits more what this offense needs.

I dont like the player comp, but we might actually see Caris remain as our 6th man given how he runs that bench squad. Kenny plays a lot of guys, so who starts isn't as important as who finishes, kinda like Manu and the spurs.
