I fully support Nash being fired.

However, has KD actually looked at the roster he has around him? Why should Marks be fired? Marks has done a solid job this offseason on fixing what was wrong.

KD could have aired this out with Tsai months ago. This is why I'm over it with him, he's just as toxic as Kyrie is. Dude you could have been said Fire Nash and then they could have worked out whatever beef he and Sean have (or not). Instead he waits til a month before training camp to speak his piece.

Whatever. It's up to Tsai now. If Marks gets fired over this, I won't feel sorry for him either because he sat on his ass all season watching Nash do f*ck all.

This is allegedly the same guy you want to build around? I don’t believe this nonsense whatsoever from Ric but quit acting like KD sole and only problem here. The inmates run this asylum and the media knows Nets fans are too weak and non-existent to do anything to push back against some of these “stories.”

Durant was not only and sole Nets problem last season , it was sum of parts

1 Kyrie vaccine fiasco
2 Harden fiasco
3 Durant was terrible in Boston series , worst I ever saw him perform to be honest
4 Nash coaching or should I rather say clapping on the sidelines
5 Simmons inability to get on the court
6 possible disconnect between management and the players

Now let’s look what we fixed

1a - Kyrie is Kyrie , it’s a head case he always was and I don’t think it’s gonna change BUT he opted in for this year , let’s say problem temporarily solved , he might be traded mid season or be at minimum good citizen, after all he playing for next contract in NBA
2a- He’s gone , problem solved
3a-he supposed to be our leader , his team , big dreams , all he did was po-po Boston series , left to Europe to watch meaningless tournament , comes back and demand a trade
That’s not loyalty, that’s not willing to fix a problem, this is cowardice at is finest
Our off-season is destroyed because of his demands

6a - It’s been 40 days since Durant demanded a trade , it’s baffling that after 40 days Durant is reported to speak to Tsai not Marks , where in all of this is Marks ? Is he a GM ? Is he a Tsai puppet? Why is Nash still a HC?

Bruce Brown averaged 14 ppg vs. BOS on 57% fg and 43% from 3 and played like a dog.
Seth Curry averaged 14.5 ppg vs. BOS on 56% fg and 52% from 3 which is basically as good as any shooter can shoot.
Nic Claxton averaged 10.5 ppg vs. BOS on 79% fg!
Goran Dragic averaged 10.5 ppg vs. BOS on 56%fg.

was simmons a letdown? sure but who's fault is that? harden was the one who asked out.

KD averaged 6 turnovers per game and shot 39% fg and 33% from 3. his BFF was only slightly better. and he seemingly refused to come out of games. now he's demanding his hand selected HC who has done nothing but what he wanted? talk about a scumbag move (even if nash should obviously be fired).

I'm not setting the future course of my franchise based on the whims of a 34 year old, aging malcontent with a significant injury history.

I'm not a fan of Nash, so if he were to "step down" I wouldn't care. I'm not trading the guy that rebuilt us from a wasteland with no assets for a one year title run (if we're lucky). I personally don't consider us favorites with or without KD. Contenders sure, but not favorites. That coupled with his age and history is why I can't accept bending over to appease him.

Exactly. I've said this repeatedly, I don't see us winning with KD either way. He's always hurt for huge chunks of the season and his attitude is horrible.

Last season was the end result of Marks capitulating to Durant and Irving, and it got us embarrassed.

I'm not firing Sean Marks because KD says so. Nash yes, Marks? No. Especially after this offseason where Marks assembled a very talented roster to fit seamlessly around KD.

Tsai has to draw the line. Either Nash gets fired and KD agrees to stay, or you call up Brad right now and see if the Jaylen Brown deal is still on the table. Enough is enough.

I'd rather rebuild on the fly around Brown and Simmons over appeasing KD one second longer. This is still a solid basketball roster even after the trade and will make the playoffs. We can figure out what to do with Kyrie during the season.
