Enjoy watching Julius Randle and Kevin Knox this year instead of Kyrie, KD and Harden.

About to become irrelevent in your own city.

Every fan base has salt. Every fan base takes their lumps. I don't have to go back too far to remember the Nets being humbled to the core or Knicks fans taking a victory lap about their upcoming free agent windfall. Everyone's a hypocrit eventually. Don't get too high on the smell of your own farts.

KD already came out and said he wants to retire here. The Nets do NOT make this deal without assurance how committed both are beyond 2023.

Harden basically forced himself here and I can’t seem him leaving NYC after 2 years. I think he actually wanted to be in a big market outside of the KD/Green/Kyrie/MDA relationship factor.

In 2011, Nets almost landed Melo but Knicks fans gloated like he signed there willingly. It ultimately resulted into a Melo/Amare/Chandler big 3.

2021, Nets get James Harden in the same month KD returns to 90% of his MVP caliber form. Nets will be trotting out a big 3 of KD/Harden/Kyrie with Amare as assistant coach.

We’ll see who has more success.

It's a terrible trade on the surface of it, and Marks got absolutely fleeced like an unshorn sheep. Like, FIVE picks & pick-swaps would have been an overload, and yet we gave them, what... SEVEN?

IMMEDIATE CONCLUSION: it lands us right back to a barren wasteland, not unlike the KG & Pierce trade did.

HOPEFUL CONCLUSION: At the same time, it's a magnificent gamble that COULD actually work, and obviously that's the new reality we must all embrace. So now the Nets must find a way to get the best out of their other personnel. Okay...

One thing, though-- I realise we were going to have a rough time re-signing Fro, but man... replacing HIM in particular, and even partly, during this two-year window, is going to be hyper-important to our title hopes IMO.

I do really like Claxton, so hopefully by the end of the season, he can come back and build upon what he's showed us. I think it -just- might be enough, nip-and-tuck as it were...?

Yang has been in on the Nets for awhile now, ever since Tsai brought in.

YO, MDB. **** all that Kyrie stuff right now. What are we drinking tonight?

Do you remember when we had Bargnani, Thomas Robinson, Shane Larkin and Wayne Ellington as our starting five? We lost 3 posters banned for arguing the importance of DONALD SOLAN.

We need to take a step back and really understand we acquired a perennial MVP who hates Giannis....to pair with Kevin Durant who is averaging the best numbers since his MVP season.

Take it all in...

I was looking back through the rosters leading up this and man...it's been quite a journey

I got to give credit to the guys that helped pave the way to this...Kenny, DLO, Caris, Spencer, Joe, Allen, RHJ...those guys really should be thought of fondly in Nets history.

I think Harden and MDA had a good relationship, which also helped.

This should be for celebration!!! So Congrats to us!!

- Lots to love
- Harden on your team is always a plus but with a price
- Thank you Caris, you’ve been great but if they need a player to play the James Harden, no one can do it other than James. So unfortunate situation, it was a setup and hope it doesn’t crush you going forward! Good luck Levert!
- Jarrett Allen, truth be told, your loss stings so so so much. You were jiving and growing with us, fitted yourself perfectly for us and poof. THis one hurts and **** sucks.
- Ok that’s too many picks to lose out here... thought we learned our lesson with the Boston massacre but nope... we lost good players plus 7 years of picks.... gotta hope that Houston sucks for 4 of them.....this blows....
- hate seeing our depth weaken even further... we have no size!
- this makes the Shamet trade EVEN MORE TERRIBLE than it already is.
- God, who backs up Jordan? If we’re playing small ball, this is all MDA and I’m not ok with it....

It’s championship or bust!

I agree but that’s the role we take pursuing a championship in this era. I think our front office is more than capable enough of developing talent without picks as we did to get here. We are the NY version of the Miami Heat right now. Our development process needs to be looked at just the same.

Real honest question....Are Knick fans afraid of Thibs and his minutes usage? I’m not trying to be some bias Nets fan. I legit am shocked this dude still runs guys into 40 minutes per game.

I’m not trying to be funny here. I like Thibs and I was excited when we interviewed him but I am shocked he still is stuck to his Chicago ways.
