I don't think anyone is worried. We're all tired of DJ being entitled to minutes. He has diplomatic immunity. If he wasn't part of the superfriends he would have been long since buried.

I know we’re drooling but let’s pump the brakes a little bit lol. Kidd was a GOAT-level passer. I would say Harden is on the next tier down with LBJ, which absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

In the playoffs this will actually benefit his at times passive nature scoring the ball in big games, with KD and Kyrie there to do the heavy lifting and shooters and finishers in the other 2 slots.

I disagree. In the playoffs, his greatest attribute will be his ability to draw fouls and get to the line to keep us in games regardless of how he’s shooting from the field. If there was one offensive weakness on this team pre-Harden it was that we didn’t have someone who can draw a lot of fouls, which is such an underrated aspect of the game, especially in the playoffs.

Steph Curry is the GOAT shooter but I think this is why playoff Curry is worse than regular season Curry. Playoff defenses are better and have more time to make adjustments. In many of the games where he doesn’t shoot well, the team loses because his effectiveness, while still tremendous, is largely limited to his shot making.

Having someone who shoots but draws fouls at a high clip is an additional powerful attribute because it gets the opposition into foul trouble so they have to defend more tentatively and it gets you (and by extension, your team) to the foul line quicker and frequently.

This is why it was so difficult to beat, let alone blow out, teams with guards like MJ and prime Wade in the playoffs. They could always stop the clock, draw fouls, get to the line for free points, and keep their teams in games even when they were shooting poorly. And many times by getting themselves to the free throw line and repeating the shooting motion they were able to work themselves back into the right shooting motion such that by the 4th quarter, they were no longer in slumps and could deliver dagger after dagger.

This is what we now have with Harden. I think Harden’s early struggles as the main guy in HOU were actually due to him letting how hot or cold he was determine how much of an impact he thought he could have on a team. (He also didn’t help himself by predicating much of his game off of questionable foul-baiting tactics.) If he just plays his game and draws fouls at a normal superstar rate, he and the Nets will be well off.

Good minutes by The Harden Unit. We may need to roll with Perry to finish this out.

I’m not worried at all. Marks was adamant that the roster wasn’t done after the Harden trade. We’ve got a lot of flexibility with vet min contracts, 2-ways, MLE, & DPE. I’m confident that we’ll find at least one valuable big man, if not multiple.

I think DJ will surprise you guys soon. It's a chip time. Watch him get some quality min in few games from now on.

And yeah, I know Kidd had a strong case. But the fact that said it like it was an indisputable fact and that Duncan had no argument over him at all, lol that's pretty funny.

He sounded like Sarah cracked a “Yo mama” joke on him. He wasn’t having any of it lol.
