Everyone will keep blaming individual players for not scoring well when it’s well founded that the familiarity and repetition of plays and actions help non-stars (especially shooters) get into rhythm on the offense.

When Harden is 100%, it’s easy for role players to play off of him because he draws in the defense leaving role players to shoot or attack comfortably from the spots they like to shoot or attack from. But Harden is not 100%. We need to help him and Durant out more by going to better sets and actions from the beginning.

Our offense does no favors to our role players like Joe Harris by ISOing ad nauseum. No one knows whether they should be and when they do receive the ball after the ISO possession fails, they’re forced to take an out of rhythm shot. Rhythm and timing matters for shooters. ISOs have little to no rhythm to them, so guys cannot get in sync.

Additionally, ISOs are the easiest plays to guard as a team, so the opposition actually gets to conserve energy to run their sets harder on offense. It’s symbiotic.

The fact that we continue to do the same **** every game is maddening!

Either Nash and the coaching staff are too scared to challenge KD and Harden to deviate from these disastrous ISOs or the coaching staff doesn’t give a **** and is telling them to go out there and do what they want.
