we need philly and raptors to keep winning, a small chance NO catches up to us but the bottom 3 I highly doubt. We also need to root for Rockets, Bucks and Knicks to lose. I'm hoping the Rockets can slip to the #7 seed and become a play in team. Also have to hope the Bucks slip to the #6th seed, that's the lowest I see them going. i don't see the Knicks losing the #3 spots but we need them to have a worse record than the top 5 teams in the West. It's possible we have a top 5 pick, 2 picks in the late teens and 1 pick in the early 20s.

I never thought I'd be happy to see Cam Thomas take a terrible contested three with time left on the clock in crunch time, but here we are...

That Indy win over the Bucks was big. That Bucks pick just went from 22 to what is pretty much a 4 way tie for 18-21. It's looking like Marks will get two picks in this draft higher than any pick he's previously had.

I don't think we are going to make the play in. But I don't want to sweat it out either, so tonights game against the Bulls is a must lose.

Giddy might not be available....

Like I said, the Spurs have entered the tankathon and you better believe shutting down Fox was just step 1.

If we're picking in the 5-8 range of the draft, i think we need to get Jermiah Fears, he has that star potential to me. I also like Tre Johnson, he reminds me of Allen Houston. I don't want Maluach or Knueppel

Good loss to the Bulls. It was Cam Thomas first double double. He had 24 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds. Claxton also had his season high 14 rebounds.

I'm intrigued with both of them as well as Traore and Jakucionis. Queen also sort of interesting. Agree about the Duke guys, with whatever top pick Nets get they need to shoot the moon for upside.

Raps won again but Philly looks like they are going to be tough to out-tank. 2 win lead for Raps may not look like much but with just 15 games left for them, if they go 5-10 nets would have to go 7-9 just to tie. 8-8 to pass.

Raps have 2 games left vs Brooklyn, 2 vs Charlotte, 1 vs Washington, 1 vs Philly - so 6 total left vs tankers, which is 2 more than either of PHI/BKL. Raps have a bunch of others winnable too (2 vs portland, 2 sas, dallas, detroit, chicago).

so pretty sure it's just philly vs brooklyn for 5/6. philly has 4 total games vs tankers (Tor, 2x Was, No), Nets have 4 (2x Tor, Wash, NO). I'd give Philly the edge because they look motivated to do whatever it takes to not win another game.

Who would have predicted this preseason?

Maybe like 9th or 10th worst, but like 5th?

Crazy how bad overall and how injured Philly has been.

That’s it for Cam Thomas for the season. Could it be the end of him as a Net?

The Nets giving the home crowd their moneys worth against the Celtics. Only down 5 points going into the fourth quarter.

This season has really sucked for him. I don't know that he'll ever outgrow his limitations but he was fun to root for, and this was really his best chance to post some silly scoring numbers...

I wouldn't be against bring him back, but understand if the team decides to move on...

I'm not sure how they move on unless there's some kind of unexpected sign and trade where he's a piece (like Giannis).

Nobody else has cap room,
Not much out there worth spending on.

i'd imagine the odds are pretty high he gets a deal in same genre as Claxton/CamJ.

again barring something unexpected, I'd guess next year's starting lineup contains DLo, CamT, CamJ, Clax. In a perfect world Flagg or Bailey is the 5th starter, though the numbers would probably have it as more likely they draft a guard who comes off bench behind DLo since there are more of them in the top 8 (vj, harper, johnson, fears, jakuconios, traore etc).

i think id be more surprised to see camt elsewhere next year than clax.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
