I swear, Ribrianne is only around, because I bet she wins the tournament, and then wishes everyone back, "out of love".

Ribrianne is only around because they needed someone to always just be there in the background and they decided to get rid of the actual fighter that would make sense to always be there in Bergamo.

And maybe Cabba and Caulifa and Kale could have just knocked out Jiren while he was frozen instead of flying away?

Jiren is so ridiculously over powered that there has to be something shady in regards to him and the clown God of Destruction.

If Hit isn't in DB FighterZ on launch day I'll be so pissed. Hit is flat out awesome and its a shame his time in the tournament ended while Ribrianne is still out there wasting Vegeta's minutes.

Yeah, there's got to be explanation at this point. I'm cool with Goku not being the strongest mortal, even though like I said, personally anyone that reaches above the Perfect Cell/Super Perfect Cell plateau are freaks of nature and few and far between, but Jiren is so much more powerful than everyone else that there's got to be an explanation and it can't just be "he trained." After all, if it was his species that can grow that strong through training (like the Saiyans with their transformations), why isn't there another member of his race on Universe 11's team? Or one from Universe 2? If it's just him that's a freak of nature, why is it? Is he a fusion between his entire race or something? An immortal that has been training for millions of years?

My explanation? He gets weaker the longer he's not meditating, so while he's strong at his max, he loses his strength very, very quickly the longer he's awake/not meditating. Otherwise, why the **** does this dude need to meditate immediately after almost losing against Hit?

the mystery behind him is a good story point. hopefully it leads into something really sinister (not him, he doesn't seem like he's a bad guy, just really strong). i don't trust the clown god of destruction at all.

The next two DragonBall FighterZ characters have been announced, and one of them was on my wishlist so I'm thrilled:

Image

Captain Ginyu w/ The Ginyu Force confirmed!! oh my god and he's got the body switch technique

And Nappa w/ The Saibamen. That makes me more interested to see Nappa in some gameplay footage

 come on Gotenks, Hit, Beerus, Goku Black w/Zamasu, Mystic Gohan and Kid Goku. I've given up hope for Chaulifa in it upon initial release.

best line of the episode.

I'm not sure why they decided to have Goku fight Chaulifa again next week, but whatever gives the producers of DragonBall FighterZ more content to build her character off of to include her in the game I'm all for. Cabba's special attack looked dope in the episode too.

Speaking of which:

Image

Season Pass also will be coming with 8 DLC characters.

Image

and word is that we'll get 24 characters to start the game with. I'm hoping the last row will be Gotenks, Mystic Gohan, Kid Buu, Beerus, Hit, Goku Black w/ Zamasu, and Kid Goku. It would not shock me though if Dabura makes the roster.

MrDollarBills wrote:Man that's some high praise, The Chapter Black Saga from YYH is one of my all times favorites next to The Kyoto Arc from Rurouni Kenshin and The Chimera Ants arc from Hunter X Hunter.

I prefer the Goku Black Saga over this because of the mystery aspect with Black/Zamasu. I think the ToP story is bogged down by what you've said (total Universe 7 focus) and just plain filler. It has had its moments (Gohan getting back into form, Master Roshi's fighting, Number 17 kicking the crap out of people, Ultra Instinct scene) but overall I've found it somewhat lacking and Jiren making everyone outside of Goku irrelevant kind of took some steam out of it for me. Like seeing Goku get destroyed in Super Saiyan Blue kind of put the kibosh on everyone else for the rest of the series. I really wanted to see Gohan actually do something, thus far he's been fodder for filler material.

Decided to go back and respond to this. Let me be clear, I don't think it's anywhere close to Chapter Black in terms of an arc, but it has loads of potential as a story-line that just isn't possible to meet due to the world of Dragon Ball itself. Let's take a look at what would happen if this story-line was in Yu Yu Hakusho.

The team would be this, most likely. I figure Koenma would use people he can trust, so the team would probably be filled with only those loyal to Earth and protecting humans, rather than risk some of Raizen's friends. In other words, it'd be this:

1) Yusuke
2) Hiei
3) Kurama
4) Touya
5) Chu
6) Suzuki
7) Jin
8) Shishiwakamaru
9) Rinku
10) Genkai (in the anime) or Kuwabara (in the manga, as Genkai is dead in the manga)

Just look at that team. I mean, you have people that are cold blooded killers and would never, ever help a contestant from another team out unless it actively suited team Yu Yu Hakusho. This is the list of the members that would maim and seriously injure as many as they can within the first two minutes of the tournament, and would kill them if allowed (listed in order of ruthlessness):

1) Kurama
2) Shishiwakamaru
3) Touya
4) Hiei
5) Chu

Members that would seriously injure and have no qualms maiming you, but probably wouldn't kill unless forced:

1) Genkai
2) Yusuke
3) Rinku
4) Suzuki

Wouldn't kill you or injure you, but wouldn't help you if you were on another team, either:

1) Kuwabara

Jin is a toss up for me, he doesn't seem ruthless and there is no evidence that he actually is. Even the Saiyan battle lust wouldn't overcome them like they do in Dragon Ball, as the only idiots that want a good fight are Chu, Jin, and Yusuke, but they all realize the importance far above their desire for a good fight.

Damn, I would just love to see Kurama, Hiei, Touya, and Chu beating people to a pulp in a tournament like that.

On second thought, I think Rinku and ShiShi wouldn't be better additions than Kuwabara, regardless of whether it's the S-Class Kuwabara from the manga or the A-Class from the anime. His dimension sword (though, I doubt the teleportation ability would work in the void) and his spiritual awareness would be important, while Rinku and Shishi are both pretty reliant on outside objects/weapons, the yo-yos and the sword respectively, so I think Kuwabara would take the place of one of them. And since Shishi can still fly, I'd take him over Rinku even if Rinku has way more potential than just about everyone on the team save perhaps Yusuke and Touya.

1) Yusuke (Upper S-Class)
2) Hiei (Upper S-Class)
3) Kurama (Upper S-Class)
4) Touya (Middle S-Class)
5) Chu (Middle S-Class)
6) Jin (Middle S-Class)
7) Suzuki (Middle S-Class)
8) Shishiwakamaru (Middle S-Class)
9) Kuwabara (S-Class in manga, A-Class in anime)
10) Genkai (B-Class in anime, dead in manga)

Just look at that team. You got the genius technique people in Genkai and Suzuki, the genius strategic people in Genkai, Kurama, and Touya; the great brawlers in Chu, Jin, and Yusuke; and the all around combatant in Hiei. Great team right there.

Obviously the characters of the other universes would need to be remade to fit the Yu Yu Hakusho world, such toned down powers and more random abilities than just pew pew pew, but the arc doesn't fit in Dragon World like it does Yu Yu I feel.
