Doc Halladay was probably the pitcher I feared the most as a Yankees fan. You could never feel at ease with him pitching. He was so dominant and what capped it off was just the professionalism with which he approached playing the game.

It's hard to think of another pitcher I had more respect for. Can't believe he's gone. RIP...

This was the first "celebrity" death that I actually gasped in shock when I read the news. He was one of my favorite players growing up. To this day, I consider him the greatest pitcher I've seen in person.

RIP Doc.

Yeah, I was down about it for a few hours last night. Even when I think about it now, it just makes me feel sad.

I'm going to write my Snoke theory here so I get it out in the open. Anyone a Star Wars fan?

^^^go for it. I'm a casual fan though so I don't know much outside of the films and I'm just getting back into it because of Force Awakens and Rogue One.

Re: DB Super...

how is that not cheating? so you can't fly, can't use senzu beans, but sneaking in the earrings is allowed? lol either way this is a really fun fight to watch.

 that right hook at the end.

yea he claimed went to all the universes and killed the kais(thus killing the gods).....

with that being said, i guess he didn't or needed to fight the "mortals" of each universe. I don't think he specifically said afterall....

I'll start writing it up. Though, the announcement of a new trilogy from Rian Johnson kind of threw a wrench in my idea since it's starting to become clearer and clearer that Rey isn't going to be a Skywalker and the next two movies may not end well for Luke, unfortunately.

As for your question about Jiren, he never said all mortals were dead, just the majority. But even if Jiren was included in that, he could have just nuked the planet tha tJiren was on at the time since it has never been stated that Jiren can breath in space.

Or, and this is more likely, Jiren's introduction creates plotholes in past arcs.

I've been watching my mother wither away in hospice this last month or so and so have missed a lot of games and haven't been able to post much, but this board is still the first site on the internet I check everyday. Still read all your posts as much as humanly possible, because it makes me feel... human. It's a great distraction and appreciate all you **** so much, man. One.

my condolences. Hope you're able to spend quality time with her still in between the craziness of work-life. Family is so important. Glad you find refuge with the Nets forum. I feel the same way at times when I need a good distraction from the insanity of the real world.

Looking for any input on this one:

next phone, iPhone 8 or Galaxy S8??

I've had the 5s for almost 4 years now and the ios 11 updated murdered my battery. I have to get a new phone soon.

I still have songs on itunes but have Spotify premium now so don't really need all that music stored anymore. TBH I'm not crazy about there not being a headphones jack on the new iphone. I guess ios is "easier" and more streamlined, but I wouldn't mind switching and trying something new. IMessage is nice too, but I wouldn't be crushed without it.

I really want just reliability and things not to slow down or crash. I need good battery life too. Started walking dogs for "Wag!" which is like Uber for your dog so I need a solid battery in the phone.

I'm really into podcasts lately and not sure what the android podcast scene is like... Is everything on itunes on the android equivalent? Also this seems silly but is the keyboard relatively the same on both, or is one better than another?

I swear, if Rey's parents have been revealed in anything but a movie, I'm going to flip. Spoilers of Battlefront 2 in regards to a Rey THEORY below.

Spoiler:
Iden and Del being Rey's parents? Del Rey books, Del and Rey, damn it, if she's not a Skywalker I think I may actually be done with the Saga films and would think them just as bad as the prequels.
