Damn it, this year's Christmas update on Tapped Out sucks. They haven't released a good update in a while, let alone a good Christmas update. The last Christmas update that was good was the 2014 one when you had to shoot elves from the cannon. The 2015 one with the carolers was pretty good, but the zoo stuff was weird. And last years Pagan one was just awful.

With the primiere of the Last Jedi today and the review embargo ending soon, can we impose a "no spoilers" policy? You want to talk about it? Spoiler tag it and explain why it's tagged.

Additionally, after today, I'm totally going dark when it comes to Star Wars. With that, I also want to get out my Snoke and Rey theories. There are two different versions: what I want to happen and what I think it going to happen. I'm spoiler tagging them just in case some people don't even want to theorize so I'd rather be safe than sorry. There are no spoilers for future movies/The Last Jedi in either tagged paragraphs, but in there are references to Star Wars: Rebels and a few canon books. No movies, however, so they're safe. And like I said, they aren't spoilers from the movies, they are just theories that I've put together from my knowledge of Star Wars.

What I want to happen/What I would do-

Snoke: In a deleted scene in the Attack of the Clones, there was mention that Dooku was one of twenty “lost” Jedi Masters, who relinquished their titles and left the order. In my version, I’d have Snoke be the first Jedi Master to resign, who was then tempted to the Dark Side and became twisted. He found a way to become nigh immortal by feeding off of the Force of other people, so in order to stop him, his former Jedi colleagues trapped him in a tomb in the Unknown Regions of Space in the Galaxy. For millennia, he withered away in that tomb before finally succumbing to a deep sleep. However, he was re-awakened when one of two things happened that caused a wound in the Force: when Order 66 killed so many Jedi all at once OR when the Empire destroyed Alderaan (both would be a good call back, so whichever one you prefer, go for it). He then spent the remainder of the Emperor’s years calling out to the Emperor, only to be released when the remaining forces of the Emperor fled into the Unknown Regions to regroup. He wants Luke Skywalker captured because he wants to feed on his Force ability and prevent Luke from learning the secret to entomb him once more.

Why I want this? I don’t want Snoke to overshadow the Emperor first and foremost. By having the Emperor’s actions in freeing him, ie Order 66 or having his ultimate weapon destroy an entire planet (“I feel a disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices cried out…”), it allows Snoke to be powerful while also keeping the Emperor as the threat he was meant to be. Secondly, it also allows Luke to be the powerful Jedi he was meant to be, as well—by keeping him a physical and mental threat to Snoke, showing that he is simply more powerful than people around him which is why Snoke wants him so badly.

Rey: She is the daughter of Luke, point blank, full stop. Luke didn’t know about her because her mother was a follower of Snoke named Kyra Ren, and after being swayed by Snoke calling out to her and tempted to the dark side, she hid and left her daughter on Jakku before travelling into the Unknown Regions to unite with Snoke. There, she served as the leader of the Knights of Ren until being struck down by Ben Solo, who took the name Kylo Ren and became the new leaders of the Knights of Ren.

Why? I like the saga to continue being a Skywalker story. By having Rey not be a Skywalker, I feel it ruins the saga and basically makes half of The Force Awakens, the parts that deal with Rey’s parentage, be for nothing. It also keeps Luke as a good father (he didn’t know about her, rather than abandoning her himself), and gives an extra little backstory between Kylo and Rey—Kylo killed her mother. How that would affect the pair would make for an interesting dynamic.

What I think is going to happen:

Snoke: Snoke is going to be the first Dark Side user, the brother of the woman that started to the Jedi thousand of years ago. He lives on as a corpse kept alive by technology and his ability to siphon Force powers out of those around him like a Force vampire. He’s afraid of Luke only because he does not want the Jedi to return. He wants Kylo and Rey in order to do his bidding before he siphons their Force powers so he can return him to his natural state.

Why? The books and cartoons of Star Wars have been pushing this Force Tree for a while. I think it’ll play out in the movies, and in order to do that, Snoke has to be related to the people of the tree. Why not just have him be the evil twin brother as a call out to Luke and Leia twinhood? It simplifies the story a little, I feel, which is what I think they will be doing from now on.

Rey: She is going to be the reincarnation of the Chosen One, which is a reincarnation of the first Jedi, the female on the alien planet that, together with her twin brother (Snoke), became the first to learn the ways of the Force from the Force Tree that they grew up near. She started the Jedi, while her brother led a life of darkness and twisting the Force to his own means, before she died and promised her followers that she would return to bring balance to the Force.

Why? Like Snoke, I think Rey’s story will be related to the tree. And how do you do that without reincarnation? Additionally, you have to make her special without making Anakin seem less so (or else half the saga is worthless), so by connecting Rey and Anakin to the tree, and making them both reincarnations of the first Jedi, it makes it so they can have both—Anakin is still special by destroying the Sith and Rey can be special too.

I like the twins idea, its good. Not the first time I've heard/read about the reincarnation possibility.

My creativity was a bit small in comparisions but it was about Rey and Kylo exchanging paths themselves. It is Rey who turns dark and its Kylo who returns to the light. Would be a interesting twist in character development. Rey, whom we were sold to be our Luke turns out to be the new Anakin or worse... something to throw out there.

The writing has really turned to ****. It's still interesting, but it's to the point where they have a checklist of what they need to do an who they need to get rid of and just push that agenda, even if it doesn't make sense. I wouldn't mind a clone of Sidious, but I would give a thumbs down in how they did it. Snoke just seems way too different to be Sidious. So while I would have been fine with a clone if Snoke was more like Sidious in The Force Awakens, but to say he's a clone now I wouldn't enjoy. However, if we want to connect him to Sidious, I think they should just make Snoke Plagueis and be done with it. As for how he came to power, I wish they would have given him the plans to the Star Forge, which is how Snoke got all the power: he was able to rearm the First Order in a quicker manner.

I did. The Force Tree in that instance was from the Jedi Temple and given to them by Luke, which presumably would be different than the Force Tree I mentioned. It's one of the reasons I really think the Force Tree is going to play a big part, they keep throwing it out in small places that I just feel they will bring it back in a bigger way.

Definitely not predictable. I guess The Last Jedi could end with Rey joining Snoke without her going entirely to the darkside, I just don't see her being evil for very long because all the little girls that Disney clearly want to look up to her.

Additionally, I think Snoke has been calling out to her for a while. In one of the trailers, Rey says "light, darkness, and something else." I think that something else is Snoke. Her awakening wasn't the force awakening in side of her, as she says "there was always something inside of me, now it's awake", I think it's her realization that she is a reincarnation and now that she is awake, Snoke is more connected to her because she is the reincarnation of his twin sister. That is why I would love for Rey's mother to have been Kyra Ren and killed by Kylo, would give her an even more deep connection to Snoke. But yeah, that "and something else" is Snoke calling out to her.

Luke Theory: No spoilers, just discussion from the The Last Jedi posters.

With the way the posters keep dividing him, with him being on the dark side poster and the light with Rey, I think the Last Jedi is going to show that has a split-personality or something similar that, unfortunately, has taken shape into Snoke. Whether Snoke is a literal manifestation of his dark side or simply absorbed his dark side influence, I don't know, but I think he's hounded by an uncontrollable thing inside of him. He's on Ahch-To to learn how to control it by researching the original Jedi practices.

That, or he's going to be a tremendous pussy that Rey is twice as powerful as.
