Spoiler:
every time we lose this season, I'm kicking Kyrie's back in. It's the principle.

Nets aren't contenders for me without Irving tbh. I can't see Nets winning the title without him. I doubt he cares, he has his own world. I doubt there is one person that can convince him to take a vaccine.

We have two top 10 players, we absolutely are contenders. We need to do a lot better than what we saw here tonight, but it's the first game of the season in mid October. This is nothing.

I agree with you about Kyrie though. He doesn't care about the team or his teammates.

Also, people who thought we wouldn't miss Kyrie are in for a rude awakening.

Without Kyrie, we're still a contender and one of the top 3 teams in the league.

With Kyrie, we're a cheat code.

The Nets will eventually catch a rhythm and consistency and throttle the league. 0-1 or 1-0, it doesn't mean anything. I predicted the Nets in a blowout because I figured KD/Harden would come out and be annoyed by the ring ceremony but I guess not. No biggie, this is a rhythm game and the season is a marathon.

It’s the first game of the season for the Bucks as well , it’s a weak explanation

Eh, Bucks have more continuity coming into this season.

I'm not even sweating it.

You should be , it’s a nationally televised game against a team who beat us last season ,nobody taking this game lightly, we are who we are , Terrible coached , low ambition , no hustle team at the moment, at best second round exit again
Nash regressed
Kyrie went AWOL
Joe Harris is worst than last playoff series against bucks
Harden is still not in a game shape , not near houston harden( either though he got whole time in the world)
Claxton it’s NOT a starter in this league ( not yet if ever )
So you should be sweating, cause if not this year ,we might not sniff a championship during our lifetimes

Durants gonna have to bring the magic if there will be a rally but Giannis might be too much to handle.

Kyrie, are you enjoying this season opener verses the Bucks?

If I even come close to saying what I really want to say about this selfish SOB, it would get be banned.

Props to the Bucks. They are the champions and they showed why. The Nets need to take this and realize that nothing will be handed to them.

Shout out to Patty Mills. He showed up tonight from the time he checked into the game while everyone else was lolly gagging.

onto Philly.

Pretty embarrassing effort. Team looked unprepared and soft.

Claxton does not look ready to start. He keeps flashing potential but can't seem to put it together.

Harden/KD just didn't seem to be motivated enough. Giannis wanted to make a statement.

Nash's rotations were horrible. Why would we go big? Griffin and Claxton made no sense together.

I wanted to see Bruce Brown and Millsap. Is Millsap injured? I think he could be our best option for guarding Giannis.

Brown is a high energy high effort guy. You need him on nights where nobody else cares.

With all that being said its 1 game. And this teams first game together. I take nothing serious from this. We will figure it out.

Bucks are good. But they are the only other contender in the East.

Sixers are collapsing before our eyes. Hawks and Heat are not on the same talent level.

Looking for a big bounce back win next game hopefully.

GG. Harden reminded me of why he scares me so much and Durant was Durant. Nash’s rotations were puzzling, but I’m sure he will figure it out at some point. Jesus Lord, the Mills pickup was genius

It disappointed me that Nash has made zero adjustments from last season. The switching defense was the problem last year and seems like they are staying with it. It causes too many mis matches, even if they get the stop they are out of position for rebounding and give up offensive rebounds. All of the rebounding issues and defense miscommunications is from this switching defense.

I think this game showed the need for a floor general. It’s been beaten to death but need Kyrie back. Gotta hope either NY ends the mandate or he gets the shot.

I wouldn't sleep on Miami. Otherwise, yeah, lets not let this game dictate how the season will go. This team has a lot of moving parts that need to figure things out.
