Excuse me for having fun celebrating the new direction of this team (and making an utter ass out of myself in the process, I truly did think that was the end of the spurs/mavs game lol)... is this really life or death to you? I have nothing personal against any of these people who entertain me on the basketball court, regardless of what happens. relax! things are looking up for this team and its fans!!

I dunno bro...maybe you should read some more here before posting on this forum...we dont really go there in regards to Kidd's personal life...not now and not when he was a Net...

those comments are usually left to Trolls and non-Nets fans who enjoy off the court gossip, more than the actual game...

Point is, its way off topic in a game thread...and not even funny...if your interested in making posts like that, I would suggest finding another Nets forum, where they enjoy those classless remarks...

Swift is going to flourish with us if he keeps getting minutes. He moves without the ball, has active hands/feet on defense, battles position for boards, and has a strong intent on attacking the rim. He doesn't play selfish at all. I really don't see what people dislike about him????

And those foul calls on him were barely fouls at all. Officials seemed to go against us this game.

I would like to see more of the Swift and Swat combo as well. During that Raps game, they were blocking everyone that tried to take it into the paint.

Its been awhile that a game thread has been this big. Maybe since the playoffs. But teams better watch out. We could be the NY Giants of the NBA. lol

I hope you don't mind, but I may post here more often. My favorite Mav was Devin Harris, and even though I am a die hard mav fan, I found it more enjoyable watching the Nets game than the Spurs game today.

The Nets are my new favorite Eastern conference team and I am routing for you in the playoffs.

Big Devin fan here. I didn't get to see the game tonight (because I was watching Devin's alma mater - Wisconsin - play live, hah), but I see he torched my Bucks. I'll get used to it. Glad he can be set "free." He knew his role in Dallas and played it well, but I think he has the opportunity to flourish now being in New Jersey. I hope he continues to play well. I'll be watching.

Best of luck.

I haven't seen the first half yet, but in the second half Stromile made 3 high IQ plays:

An assist to Boone
A loose ball alertly tipped to Boone
Starting a fast break and getting the ball up ahead to the teammate on the left wing.

From what I saw, I agree on your assessment of the fouls. That blocking call in the second half was BS ... that was a charge on the Bucks player.

Stromile didn't shoot well from the outside in this game but he had a positive impact and an excellent +/-, and overall displayed a high IQ as he has done consistently with the Nets.

I noticed in this game Boone didn't pick up a single foul.... do you guys see that as a good thing or a bad thing?

Ladies and gentleman we have just entered a new era, on possibly the best note possible.

-Devin........words cant express how impressive he was tonight, for a guy coming from the bench,in his first game on a brand new team and after coming back from an ankle injury Harris was spectacular, you know I had my doubts about this trade but tonight I am at ease and I can almost gaurantee that somewhere down the line in his career Devin will be an all star.

-Marcus played really really well aside from his D(which was average tonight-not as bad as it can be) on the offensive side he looked like Kiddy without the turn-overs.

-You know we all complained about Frank but we all have to give him credit he handled the Devin situation perfectly Devin was being held back by a certain control freak back in Dallas and if this game showed us anything its that the "go out there and do whatever the F you want" approach is doing its job.

-Biggest score of the season YEAH BABY YEAH!

Now onto the negatives.....

-Now that Im done paying my dues to him its time for the post game Frank complaints:Bah Frank is just WASTING Sean on the bench, seriously this has JO written all over it, great talent being wasted on the bench, moves to a new team and BAM he's an all star.
-While he should still start Nenad's been a bit off today but thats okay because this team will go as far as Nenad,Vince,RJ and Harris take it.

Anyway all in all fantastic win that gives us a sight into the future of the Nets :)
