I think Dinwiddie can act as "Lin" in our starting unit that way Dlo doesn't have to be relied upon too much to get the offense started.

Would love to try Dinwiddie-Dl0-DMC-RHJ-Booker with CL-Harris-Crabbe-Acy-Fro' off the bench.

Its early in the season, but right now, I think I'd say Dinwiddie has earned himself a much larger role. He was probably our best decision maker last season anyway, but now he's adding better playmaking, scoring, and outside shooting to his game. He also plays defense, hustles, and doesn't give up. The way he's playing right now, I think we need to really push his confidence and see how far he can take it.

IMO, he's been the most consistent of our guys along with Demarre. The only thing that's held him back are minutes because of Lin and Russell. With Lin hurt and Dlo not looking/playing the same since the injury, Din is hands down our best PG.

“He continues to play like this, we have to find more minutes for him,” Kenny Atkinson said. “There’s just no choice.”

I trust Kenny Atkinson to make right decisions.

I say start him and lets go back to what we were doing with Lin and Russell. Staggered minutes, both of them finish the game.

Saw this in NY Post today

"Nets fans may be itching to see more of Dinwiddie, especially alongside Russell. The two have played sparingly together, as Dinwiddie has been charged with leading the second unit when Russell is off the floor.

“I think it’s something we have to look at,” Atkinson said. “I do like it because I think D’Angelo is pretty good off the ball.”

Still, an insertion into the starting lineup is not something Atkinson is considering for Dinwiddie at the moment. The preference is for either him or Russell to be on the court at all times, which means minutes need to be somewhat staggered."

Yeah I'm not sure we can have him start, though perhaps we can stagger minutes with him and DLo.

The problem is with Lin hurt and Caris struggling, we are once again lacking in players who can run this offense. I don't really feel comfortable with Skil, Harris, Crabbe, etc to run point. Would feel much better if either DLo or Caris gets off their funk

D’Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie have shared the court for a total of 19 minutes over seven games, and 10.5 of those minutes came in Sunday’s game against Denver.

"We have to find out that balance where we can get him [Russell] off the ball." Atkinson

SD is the best value contract in the entire NBA right now.

Think his value will only keep rising. I think they should keep SD unless they can package him with others for a legit big time player.

Is it fair to say that he’s the best player on the team now that Russell’s out indefinitely?

if he's playing like he was tonight, yes.

RHU will probably be better on some nights.

What's crazy/great is that he's had 19 assists the past two games and just 1 TO against two pretty good defensive teams.
