The Nets need to ask NYC for an exemption. After seeing how unhinged Eric Adams is he might just grant it

Ehh, the Pacers were horrible. The Bucs would be too big against that lineup.

Miami will smoke us. We won't stop Bam and they got shooters.

You guys are being way too dramatic.

It was a really bad first half.

Not at all indicative of how we will play in April. We looked WAY WORSE last season.

Harden has been playing big body defense down there in the paint

Houstons deep run in the playoffs in 17-18 when they took GSW to 7 in the WCF Harden was primarily a paint defender on switches he would almost always drop down and then one of Houston’s bigs PJ or Clint would go up. He is almost immovable down there. Would love to see Nash do the same in playoffs. Claxton is very Capela like.

Harden is better defending in the paint than the perimeter.

He should play a small ball PF/C when Joe is back.

Harden
Kyrie / Patty
Joe
Bembry
KD

Agreed. I hope Nash finally sees he's better than James Johnson. He can rebound, defend, finish at the rim and has size to play against big and smaller players. He can also pass and makes greats cuts.

1. Bembry
2. Bruce
3. James
4. Kessler(Nash won't play him but would be higher)

I love how the NBA media **** on us constantly for not looking good.

Meanwhile Milwaukee has looked pretty bad all season. And everyone is just pencilling them in as Eastern Conference favorites.

Let's do that thing where we blame Nash when things go wrong and then act like he doesn't exist when things go right.

We're really good at that.

There’s been over 20,000 granted already since September. I don’t see how or understand why he can’t get one.

He's also not a NY resident as TheNetsFan pointed out when he reviewed the mandate. I think the Nets should probably ask for an exemption now. Covid won't be an issue for the team going forward (we hope) and Kyrie's antibodies should offer him some protection for the next few months.

Yep. Putting Bembry in and letting Kyrie go ISO while Harden and KD spaced the floor were solid adjustments

I still rather Joe start games and use Bembry as a spark plug. Don't forget how great the team looked last season and Joe was looking better defensively right as he got hurt. Bembry can always close the game so it's no big deal.

Tonight was Kyrie's night but Bembry gave us a great effort also.

Nash wasn't the problem tonight. There was zero pride in the first half. He put in Bembry and the mood changed.

We know Harden can play good defense it’s all about his effort. Good comparison with Capela, Claxton has so much potential but the timeline here is off unless he takes that next step soon. Might happen. I also think the difference last year was Dantoni. He had them running a lot of Mash screen sets just like Rockets did and now the Suns are doing if you watch that offense with CP3. With Kyrie and Durant this is just a deadly iso attack offense with some pick and pop sets and the occasional cutter.

I'd rather have a defensive specialist out there on the wing. Joe's defense has been better but he's been through a long layoff.

Harden is a point PF. Hobbled Harden arguably was the best we had defending Giannis in the playoffs last year. Aside from Aldridge, he's likely the most difficult Net for opponents to back down in the post. It's why Nash's insistence on playing big drives me crazy. Just surround the stars with athletes. When the big 3 is on the court, we have 3 shooters. If one is resting, add Harris (when he gets back) or Mills.
