We got way too many defensive only players. We need shooters plain as simple ****.

Thybule makes a ton of sense if you re-route Simmons for Fox or John Collins/Bogs

I really doubt we trade Harden.

Even with the house on fire, at rock bottom, the potential of this team when healthy/together is higher than anything we can get from Philly. I know the chances are low that the stars align for us, but we haven't seen yet the big 3 in its full glory.
Plus Harden could still be convinced to stay since he can get more money/playoffs could go well/KD's here.

Philly would have to trade Harris/others as salary dump and sabotage their own season + Embid's MVP season to have a chance to outright sign Harden in the summer? Tough sale if you're Morey. I don't see that as leverage. If they want to secure Harden, they will have to give up assets otherwise it's a sign a trade come summer time.

I'm not convinced about Simmons at all. I still think he's a playoffs/big game choker.
No go to move, mentally weak, etc.

The only positive is that he's under contract, would be in a new enviroment, still has untapped talent, 25 years old.
He could play the Draymond green role best case scenario for us surrounded by shooting.

Maxey is a good young player, but those type of scoring guards are not so hard to find.(Cam Thomas for ex)

Thybulle would be great fit defensively, but only shoots 31% from 3. I know he's an upgrade over Bembry/Browns of the world but he doesn't fix our spacing issues.

Curry would be a GREAT get. Basically another Patty Mills. I'd definitely want him if we were to trade the beard.

Draft picks would not be so great since Philly has Embiid. At best it would be in the high teens.

It's a tough decision for Marks, that's for sure. I want to see the Big 3 do their thing and get a chip, but everything's gone wrong so far not to mention Harden will be making 50m per year until 38/39 years old. Kyrie is unreliable af and basketball is not his top priority as he's shown/said many times.

Simmons, Curry, Thybulle and 2 1sts for Harden, Milsap, and Carter?

I have that as a fairly significant overpay but I'm not trying to be some fake insider. One thing I would say generally is that I don't really see the benefit of a team bringing on Simmons AND Thybulle considering they're basic skill set overlaps so significantly in important areas. Gun to my head, I'd say 1 of Curry/Thybulle, then a 1st, maybe 1 of Springer/Joe/Reed if it's necessary. But I'm just taking the same educated guesses y'all are.

I'm clueless about Carter, does he provide anything or is he just a filler guy?

Carter is just filler for roster purposes. He has sucked this year.

Based on what I just read, Marks is asking Morey for both Maxey and Thybulle, so I figured that the end result would hover closer to my offer.

I'm with Claud...

I don't need Maxey. We have Kyrie and Kevin Durant. Thats plenty of go-to scoring for guys who can get buckets. I like the idea of a PG to replace some play making but It doesnt need to be a high end guy. Give me like a DJ Augustin off the bench (played at texas with LMA, tight with KD).

For me, I just throw Maxey out if he complicates it. I'm not willing to send ANY positive asset besides Harden. you want Milsap, Carter, Brown, fine... but Patty is a HELL no. Even if Patty walks next year for sure, im still not including him.

I need Simmons, Curry, and a Pick. thats my floor. I'd play hardball with Thybule but dont need him. I'd take drummond for free and just release him if he sucks if they want but i dont need him either.

Shots Fired!

Woj going at Windhorst, which is fun because they are also both ESPN. If Woj is wrong thats a bad look as Shams has already stuffed him in a lock recently.

I dont believe Nash or Marks but Woj is Woj and Windy only has a job because of lebron and getting on his knees for players/GMs.

At the moment Kyrie is still only part time.

We don't know Joe Harris is even comings back.

We do need a scorer. KD needs help consistently and we're not sure he has that in Ky or Joe.

Even if Ky is back and Joe returns, joe is unreliable and Irving can only do so much along with KD, ee absolutely need another scorer especially a young one at G

I don’t believe in Brian.
I rather listen to Woj. Talks of him being in someone pocket is recent. He has no history of this.

I'f it does go through I want Maxey included. He could be an all star 3-4 years. We need to get some bucket getters back. Maxey and Curry would do it for me.

I tend to trust Woj more than anyone so I doubt this is happening.

I don't want to trade Harden either.

**** the Sixers.

Either give me Maxey, Thybulle, Simmons and FRP or kick rocks. You need this deal more than we do.

I'm fine with the team as is.

I do find it hilarious that Drummond is involved in the rumors tho. Personally wanted him last season buyout when we had spacing and needed a roll man/rebounder.
My health can’t afford to lose Harden and seeing players we could’ve had without losing the 3(there was reports Philly wanted Joe/Spencer/the 1sts for Ben) is super frustrating. Just the choice of build kept us from doing the things any other team would have.

If Marks does pull of Maxey/Simmons/Thybulle I think we are better than we were with Harden.

Maxey gives us 80% of what Harden was giving us anyway. Thybulle and Simmons will solve our defensive problems by themselves.

Then its just a matter of the mandate being repelaed.

Simmons/Kyrie/Thybulle/KD/Claxton

Maxey/Mills/Harris/Aldridge off the bench

To me thats the better overall team than what we have now.

Get it done Marks!

Any of these proposed trades between Philly and Nets is a no-brainer if I'm the Nets. The question is why Philly would give up Simmons, other good players and possibly picks for a three month rental. Philly may think Harden will resign with them, but how did that work out with the Nets? The Nets should jump at any of these proposals.

No its not. Because Simmons has no value.

You can't get anything for him from anyone else.

Once Philly sees what Harden is like they will not want to max him out.

Then some other poor team like the Clippers may offer a sign and trade for the max.

If after all this noise that no trade happens, you best believe Sixers are getting hit with some nice tampering charges. Woj is putting his credibility on the line and rarely is he wrong, unless a twist occurs last minute. If a trade were going to happen, it should have happened by now. I think this idea that bickering about pieces is just to create suspense and views which they are doing a great job at.

A big part of the reason why Harden was even brought to Brooklyn is because Kyrie is not a good PG, is a terrible leader, and overall couldn't be trusted. If you trade Harden, you lose your insurance against Irving, meaning that he will have an even bigger stranglehold on the franchise, and the Nets will have no choice but to succumb to his shenanigans.
