Here's what I found, and correction, it's someone from the Nets FB group.

Read on Twitter

So some guy on Twitter posted that some other guy in a Facebook Group posted that Kyrie is going to play on Sunday? That's not exactly a reliable source. It's possible, because of how foolish it will look to have Kyrie sitting on or behind the bench (potentially maskless) on national TV, but not able to play because of "the science."

No, but if drummond said it?

I thought Drummond stated that he hopes the mandate is up on the 7th, and so that Kyrie can play at home on the 13th. It seems like an old interview.

Drummond was on the Danny Green podcast, please go take a listen to that.

No Covid/mandate updates from the mayor today? I thought it was a Friday ritual.

Unvaccinated people will be allowed into Barclays. Masks will probably all but non existent.

This is nothing about science and numbers at this point. Adams is playing political games and the Nets need to either sue the city or defy the mandate.

I cannot for the life of me understand how NYC Dems nominated this corrupt jackass.

NBA has come out and said teams can't defy local mandate or that player will be ineligible to play by the league.

This is the moment someone should be suing the city to overturn the mandate. Kyrie is putting the absurdity on full display, coupled with the fact that they revised the mandate on March 4 to clearly target Kyrie and close any potential loopholes.

Irrelevant.

That was at the height of the pandemic and before Adam Silver came out publicly and told NYC/Adams that their mandate is nonsense. There are only 3 paths from here:

1) The Nets know something we don't, exemption or mandate will be coming before the playoffs start.
2) Litigation or defiance of the mandate
3) NBA/Nets take it to the court of public opinion, constantly show kyries face in barclays and interview him asking why he cant check into the game but can sit courtside unmasked next to tons of unvaccinated unmasked fans in the arena

id assume its number 1. but we will know in a few hours if its #3

Yeah. Its one thing for Kyrie to lose money on this nonsense and its annoying for fans that he cant play when its obvious he should be able to play if he cant stand 1 inch from the court unmasked.

But what about the unvaccinated concession stand worker who can buy a ticket to be in the arena but cant get paid to do his job in that same arena... and other cases like that.

Adams picked a weird hill to die on.

How does Adams not realize how much of a fool he looks??

Politicians really are the worse.

Multiple things can be true all at the same time:
1) Kyrie should get vaxxed
2) Getting vaxxed is not as critical as it was months ago
3) The mandate is garbage and "protects" no one

OT but it sucks seeing a black mayor look so glaringly incompetent. Hate to see it. Never really like him as Brooklyn borough pres and he just failed his way up.

Agreed, I just changed it.

This is really politics at its worst. It looks like Adams wants to use Kyrie to prove he is a hard line mayor who won't cave to special interest. This is going to backfire on him if the media including social media hammer away about how ridiculous it really is.

Adam Silver really needs to do more.

After listening, its not as bad as i thought... i had assumed based on reaction it was something like "nothing will change now, or for the playoffs, or for the forseeable future"

it was just more deflecting and putting it on Kai getting vaccinated, which leaves the door open for some hope.

Still scratching my head at woj. he has now tripled down on the optomism kyrie will play home games this year. Maybe he is just doing marks bidding, if so, whats the play?

first time in a long time woj has looked bad
