Fine, my next suggestion: pick Cousins and trade Brook.

You know what? Screw that. If we don't win the lottery, I'm going to Hulk out.

You're getting ahead of yourself.

Come over to the dark side, Vince. Search within your feelings, you know (the Nets getting the 3rd pick) it to be true. Yes, yes.

Even if i was madly in love with Brook i'd still prefer that to the deal you offered.

We're discussing getting Beasley for NOTHING, and you want us to throw in the 3rd pick for the added bonus of Chalmers and the 21st? :o

No, I edited the trade from what it originally was. Originally, it was a threeway deal with Miami, the Thunder, and the Nets, with the Nets getting Miami's pick, Beasley, Chalmers, and Green, but I got lazy and deleted most of it and only kept the Miami part.

If there was a way to aquire Beasley for nothing and then flip him for Derrick Favors...

A guy I would like our FO to take a look at with the 27, if he's still there, is Elliot Williams.

Dude will likely be there early to mid second round. He's wildly inconsistent, has character concerns and suspect athleticism. He might be OK, but the next Ginobli? No way.

http://espn.go.com/ncb/player/gamelog?playerId=32018

Can someone explain to me how these stats are WILDLY inconsistent? Tell me how many other PG's in college basketball average 19, 6 and 4. Then of that list, tell me how many had another player on their team worth a damn. Maryland has NOBODY. The only reason Maryland is mildly competitive is because they have the 2nd best coach in the ACC (Gary Williams) and Greivis. He had a few high turn over games, but every colleg PG has that. His shooting % is a little weak but that's because he has literally no support. Look at the stats against most of the better teams in his conference. The guy is a gamer and has more will and passion on both ends of the court than almost any player I've seen play this season. I have also never read a thing about his character. He's known as the janitor at Maryland because he'll do anything for the program, including mop the floor.

Ya got me on athleticism, but Manu doesn't really have it either. Both just have a high IQ, can handle the ball and play tough ever second of the game. If he's there in the 2nd round, he's a steal as a potential 6 man of the future.

Nets scouts have been interested in him since prior to last year's draft too, so I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see us take him round 2.

You're convincing me a little something and I wouldn't be opposed to taking a flyer on him with the 2nd rounder.

^^^^ Ya know, personally I'd rather take the best available 4 or 5 at both the dallas and 2nd round pick just for depth and hoping one will work out, but I just think for me it'd be hard to pass on Greivis.

Question:

I know the guys may never come to the states, but would anyone be interested in trying to move a future 2nd or CDR or Yi for the rights of Fran Vasquez or Tiaggo Splitter. Tiaggo's offensive game is apparently starting to look really good and he was always a workhouse on defense. Fran would be a solid back up defensive center option. Of course that's if we can convince either of them to come to the states.

Yet another sign John Wall is already a Net. Signed with Dan Fegan.

Seriously, if the lotto isn't rigged, he could just pull the good ol "dont draft me i wont play for you" and force a trade to where everyone knows he belongs.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
