Then they could just shed a small contract.

I'm scared of KCP LOL.

I don't want KCP at all. Grab Green for 12-13M or just roll over the cap space and hope to land two max guys next year.

With KCP, it's a long term fit. Russell/KCP/LeVert/RHJ is a really good core.

He's going to be 25-26 by the time we have our picks. I highly doubt he's going to suck every year. His assist percentage will increase here. Therefore his efficiency can as well.

I wouldn't be mad if we signed him but not at a full max.

He's so damn inefficient though and he sounds a kind of dumb in interviews.

I'm bracing myself lol.

Maybe a bit more

I just think he could look a little differently in a high paced offense with quality passing around him instead of Bobby Shmurda's identical twin and little Ish Smith. He's should have cleaner looks and more transition points with four good passing guards around him (Lin, Russ, CLV, Widdie).

I'm least enthusiastic about KCP compared to all the other options, but I guess he plays hard and has upside?

Surprised how cheaply Teodosic was obtained by the Clippers. 2 years 12ish mil 2nd year player option has literally no downside for them. If Teodosic flops its not like he's gonna stick around in the NBA to keep flopping, he'll go back to Europe for the biggest deal he can get, so its basically a 1 year deal. If Teodosic balls out, then yea, he'll get a nice raise/new deal as he'll opt out, but still, its literally no risk to the Clippers.

However he WAS promised a starting spot and thats something the Nets cannot offer him, unless they want to bench one of Lin/DLo. I think the Markinson is VERY high on Lin and how he can help DLo develop as a super combo guard. Essentially Lin himself is a super combo can start at both spots guard himself. If DLo can learn all the good habits from Lin, **** can get real crazy in BRK as these two guys can light it up from range and do it all. Add in some Levert development copying them...

I really like Teodosic potential but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes him a couple years to get it to click, kind of like Dragic in his early days. Good signing by Clips none the less. Guys here was talking about giving him a 3/36 deal which I thought was his value too.

I doubt greedy ass Ainge is getting a true asset out of this.

Either he's going to send one of Bradley or Crowder to Utah in a S&T or he'll ship one of them to a team with cap and wrap it up himself.

I don't think Smart affords them max cap on his own though. It's close, but no cigar.

i think they get an asset for smart. too many teams could use smart for someone not to try and jump to the top of the line and snag him

Either get him or Washington is in cap hell trying to extend Wall and resign Oubre (who we steal next year)
Miami is trying to dump Tyler Johnson and the Blazers can't do a thing with their massive cap bill.

yeah I mean the side bar to this is that Marks is screwing teams over with these RFA pushes. I knew Portland would regret matching last year

is he thought?

Blazers were already in the tax before crabbe signing.

The heat have max cap space

The wizards are already over the cap and will be over the tax with a wall extensin.

I would understand this if a team was like 15M under the cap and we made them max their guy to kill their cap and put them well over. but nothing like that happened

Owners probably don't think like that. A team already in the tax now adds $18 million+ a season deeper into the tax. Yikes lol.
