The General Board is such a s*** hole. That Jason Collins thread is embarrassing to say the least, but what's really shameful is that all of the homophobia goes unpunished. Words can't describe how much I hate humanity.

Glad to hear it wasn't a perma-ban.

yeah me too :)

I guess he was suspended for posting "Not this again" in response to a new Jordan vs. Lebron thread on the player comparison board for "adding nothing" or "trolling"

Wait, he was banned just for saying that? If so, that's ridiculous.

That debate has been going on and will continue to go on as long as LBJ is playing and (unless he has a catastrophic decline) long after he retires.

That's a pretty petty thing to get banned/suspended for.

yea, it bothers the crap out of me as well. you would think, especially people 40 and under which i assume makes up most of the GB, would be a bit more progressive on this stuff instead of being ingnorant homophobes. Then you have stuff like people saying they'd be ok with players being allowed to use weed before the games because "they soke weed and it doesnt effect their play"

fcking clowns.

and yeah, the homophobia and straight up hate talk is permitted, but call james harden a chucker and you get perma-banned from the GB

it was after prior warnings...

first ban was from the GB. in a harden thread the post that got him banned from that board was "Harden is overrated, and relies too much on selling foul calls, in the playoffs he is going to disappear". that got him perma banned for "trolling"

then several warnings on the PC board for calling out people for posting riddiculous comparisons like "clyde drexler would be a bench player in todays NBA. and then a 3 day suspension for saying "abusurd" ina one word response to "stockton wouldnt be a top 12 pg in todays nba".

its kinda dumb what gets warnings and suspensions. i mean, sure, you can say its warranted for that stuff, but only if you police the other crap, which they dont.

The PC board has weird rules in general. its like anyone can creat a thread however insane it is, but call someone out for it and its game over.

several threads created in 1 day claiming nash was a better offensive player/higher offensive impact then MJ. but SMH at it and its a suspension.

man that one always kills me. that and barkley not deserving MVP in '93 make me want to leave the PC board and never return. advanced stats are great, i love me some advanced stats. but people apply them to the past like its absolute gospel, and have 0 appreciation for a players impact on the game beyond the numbers. there are reasons why there are guys with insane advanced stats who severely underachieved in respect to them

My rankings for best drama series of all time (with spoilerific youtube videos for those that haven't seen that specific show):

1-The Wire (No explanation needed)

2- Breaking Bad (likewise)

3- LOST (despite the ending or the final season, depending on how you look at it, the journey of LOST was an incredible one that was riveting, heartbreaking, hilarious, thrilling, emotional all packaged into one show. It has some of the best character development in television history)

4- The Sopranos (not a huge fan, but I respect its legacy. Without it we wouldn't have Breaking bad, the shield and a few other incredible shows... also, TOny Soprano, one of if not the best lead characters in a show)

5- Mad Men (not everyone will love this, but it's amazing how realistic the show is in representing the 60's. The dialogue is top notch and it's one of the most stylistic and well acted shows ever.)

Why did they cast Daredevil as the new Batman?

Should have got someone legit like my boy Keanu Reeves. I also think The Rock Dwyane Johnson would have been a good pick.

  That would have been an equally bad casting decision.

Ben Affleck as batman is ridiculously stupid. Not even gonna waste my time with that movie.

So in anticipation of watching The World's End soon, I've gone on a Pegg-Frost-Wright collaboration binge. Never having saw Spaced before, I decided to watch it on Netflix. I thought these two exchanges were hilarious:

Image

Tim: (distracted playing Resident Evil 2) Oh, there's a letter here for you. Came yesterday.
Brian: It's open.
Tim: Yeah, I opened it by accident because um...we've both got Is in our names.
Brian: (opens letter) It's from Vulva.
Tim: Oh yeah? Is that another woman's magazine?
Brian: Vulva, it's an old friend. She's having a show tonight.
Tim: You've got a friend called Vulva? Who's called Vulva?
Brian: Real name's Ian.
Tim: You mean HER real name's Ian?
Brian: She's non-gender specific.
Tim: Oh wait, you mean he's a tranny?
Brian: More than that.
Tim: What, big fat tranny?

In my opinion, This is that 70's show best/funniest scene ever. Starts at 12:28 - 15:30.

Toasting tequilla feeling sorry for myself/ wishing I could trade places with close friends who lost battles with their health/ drifting into places I thought I had left/ selfish motives that I just can't kick/

punting the spalding/ regrets that maintain a swollen weave of up and down falling rises of addictive callings/ remain boiling in a caldron of stock that could leave you cooked/ bagged tagged and booked/ sagged mad but look/

how do you take down the king with two pawns and rook/

east bound and down/ sing my song with no hooks/

prawns in the cage/ steam em in the brook laid straight to the plate/ fork and knife with a napkin to wipe the sweat from my face/

see it's therapeutic/ gave up writing smoking cancer sticks and roasting deuces/ but sometimes it's useful to be useless/ shoot up the lines of a notebook with darts needles and nooses/

muses/ angels/ evil spirits/ white tee shirts/ make small moves forward like danny granger/

just can't keep pace/ go pyscho t in a new place/ eliminate 2 nicks of choke straight from the outside like it's miller time stealing in the garden to take surprise victories at the end of big games/

they spike the punch/ stark contrast to masons that pray upon the crowds in traffic with mean dunks/

foul line extended/ habitual line stepper with a vintage thread like some mitchell and ness $hit/

yes yes/ take a deep breath and a step back/ whether the goat like mj or underrated cut down in his prime unexpected like petrovic
