I must admit...I really, really like Porzingis. Both his skillset and his (underrated) trolling/confidence are awesome!

Really talented player- the Manhattan Nix won't win anything until he's their No1 or No2 option. Derrick Rose is past the point of being a primary option on offense

I love the state of the league! The modern style of play and the rise of these young players is making the transition to a Kobe-/KG-/Duncan-less era pretty easy.

I've been saying that for awhile now. It's very clear that he should be the defacto #1 option on the team. Even if Melo wants to bring up the ball, the first check on offense should be to get him the ball and let him decide what should be done.

He should be getting at least 10-15 1st option touches per game, so the transition will be much easier for him to deal with. Kinda like how San Antonio helped build up Kawhi over the last few seasons.

Lillard: 'We kinda suck right now"

It's getting clear that we will host Portland in one of the best moments of the season. If they can't win tonight against New Orleans, even better.

It's best to just move out of the way when Towns goes up. This guy has been throwing down the hammer on people. He got Brook really bad a few games ago. :noway: :noway: :noway:

Really interesting segment & discussion about Westbrook v Harden and the evolution of NBA big men (even Brook Lopez gets mentioned)

Around the NBA, 2016-17 Season thread

Post#195 » by Paradise » Tue Nov 29, 2016 7:33 pm

I think everyone coming into this season knew an injury to Conley/Gasol puts the Grizzlies in purgatory for a long time. Yikes. I feel bad for Grizzlies fans. They are in the same position we were a couple of years ago with the big money contracts and their 1st rounder goes to Denver this year.

I feel real bad for Conley as well. He's a good guy and had a real shot at the all-star team again.

The Grizzlies have it a lot worse right now. Atleast we are slowly phasing out of purgatory. Thank god we didn't have a shot at Conley with Sean Marks here. He's making 153 million and will be on the shelf for god knows how long.

Yeah but Conley's deal was worth it with the way he was playing to start the season, and the way he's played throughout his career. The Grizzlies were literally one of the top 10 franchises in all sports the past few years. Admittedly, things are a bit murky moving forward.

The Grizzlies are always one of my favorite teams come postseason, and their game last week against the Clippers showed why. I feel for their fanbase in the sense that things really suck without your PG. This injury sounds awful in every way- I really hope this is something he can recover from, because simply calling Mike Conley the most underrated guard doesn't give the man enough credit for the way he's been able to lock into his defensive assignments, galvanize, and lead his team over his career.
