Other players and teams are having this issue. It’s been throughout the league.

This is not on the league. I’m not going to get mad at a league that is trying to protect other players and their close contacts.

Plus, things have calmed down a lot. IIRC, This past week there were no positive cases.

Instead of blaming the NBA, I’m wondering why KD, who already tested positive, has already been kept out of games twice this season due to the protocol.

It seems like at least someone in his circle is irresponsible.

This is on the NBA and the entire social media is erupting with questions on what exactly is the point of these rules.

He could’ve been ruled out after the game. The league said no. The other person is still negative from everyone’s understanding.

I don’t care what social media says.

You could make a wrong decision 100x before, but if the correct decision is for him not to play, he needs to be removed ASAP.

Time spent in close proximity to the infected is probably the single greatest factor in the spread of COVID. You cannot say “He might as well finish the game since he already started.” Every second matters and can make a difference.

The longer non-infected people spend time around the infected in a non- or poorly circulated area, the risk of exposure and the likelihood of infection goes up tremendously.

It doesn’t matter if the league or the team made mistakes assessing him earlier. If he needs to come out, he needs to come out. The longer he plays, the more likely he risks those who was in contact with. You don’t just let him keep playing, because he already was on the court. It’s never too late to remove an infected player from the court.

I agree with you, I was just being hyperbolic. However, if Durant is indeed infected, the damage was done hours ago. Everyone should be quarantined. hell, the game should be postponed.

My point remains: The NBA has botched this, big time. They're making it up as they go.

But health and safety protocols and contact tracing aren’t just limited to the players themselves; those with whom they come into close contact are also factors.
