We are 3-2 with LMA starting at center. the loses where to the bulls and lakers. 2 teams we should have handled. One of those wins was a 2 point win over the knicks kyrie needed 40 points to shoulder us to.
its a small sample, but the LMA starting/playing 25-30 moninutes experiment needs to be over and fast. The 2 things LMA brings are post play and range shooting. he is taking 1 three a game right now and post offense isnt a good option in todays league. he isnt rebounding much. 5 a game. defensively he has been at best average.
I like him off the bench. 15-18 mpg. post ups are more digestable off the bench, when there is less offense creation.
More claxton please.
Three of those five games have been without Harden and KD, and I like how you conveniently ignore that two of those wins were our most dominant wins this season, where we looked unstoppable. There's no good excuse for losing tonight but it's utterly bizarre to pin the 3-2 record over last 5 games on LMA starting at center.
I dont think having to play with "only" 1-2 superstars is some crutch. the lakers were missing more firepower then us tonight. that cant be the excuse
First of all, I said that we played with just 1 superstar in 3 of those games, not two (one of the two losses was to a Bulls team with two all stars). Second, I literally just said in that post that there's no excuse for tonight. But you have a habit of conveniently ignoring context when it suits your agenda/argument.
It was a poor performance from the start tonight but the game completely flipped when Kyrie and Schroder got ejected. Kyrie was our only positive player tonight and the Lakers exploded after that, we had no response for it. KD was on minutes restriction, but he was in when Lakers went on their huge run, and he actively hurt us tonight with his turnovers and lack of shotmaking when we needed it in the 3rd. Then the Chiozza led bench unit came in and provided some energy, but when they couldn't make shots either, the momentum flipped back on Lakers side again. The 4th quarter started and Mclemore decided to make like 5 shots in a row, something that's never going to happen again. The lack of energy, physicality was definitely a killer for us but when Lakers guys (Schroder, THT, Caruso, Morris, Mclemore) start making shots that they don't normally make, that will end up being the result.
