I dont mean that its necessary to support every action, I am a Kidd fan and I dont like what he did to his wife either. However, this KD vs Rapoport drama was all about the latter being a Knicks fan and sole loser. Your taking Rapoport's side means you are supporting a Knicks fan, I cant justify supporting a Knicks superfan over a Nets player, no matter the circumstance.

gg guys i dont know whats come over us these past few games but we're hitting 3s.

It isnt LMA's fault that Nash stars him and center and gives him the majority of the center minutes. He is a role player. not someone a championship team relies on.

Claxton has been nothing short of fantastic. no reason he shouldnt be starting. DJ also shouldnt be sitting when LMA has a bad matchup. IF drummond is on the floor and you arent feasting with your pick and roll bigs you are letting them off the hook

I honestly thought you guys would kill us after the ejections. Yeah Kyrie got ejected aswell but i was sure KD would annihilate us.

Just one of those games where one team cant seem to miss from 3.

Like Harris in the first game looking like Ray Allen and Klay Thompson put in a blender.

Harris is allen/klay put in a blender.

There was 0 shot nash was coaching us to a win once Kyrie got ejected. KD was on a minutes restriction, so that didnt matter.

The lakers threes falling were not our downfall. we didnt make LA pay for having drummond on the floor. we ran 0 pick and rolls and we didnt have claxton/DJ our pick and roll bigs even on the floor. we didnt make LA defend so they were able to leak out and get early offense. alot of thre threes came from that. Nets also didnt run lakers off the 3 point line, which is a no brainer since most of the players arent guys who are gonna beat you attacking closeouts

His refusal to use timeout to disrupt runs is a real flaw.

And im sitll heated he isnt physically between kyrie and the refs/schroeder after the first technical

On my second watch... last 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter were interesting.

Claxton/Blake/Brown/Harris/Chiozza. That lineup got a ton of stops, rebounded, 0 points allowed in the paint. We actually had a shot to get back within 4-5 points but we missed a ton of open threes. Blake/Claxton seems to be a much better pairing then green/LMA on the defensive end.

Accountability is good. Let's see how this translates going forward. this was a bad game by Aldridge who let Drummond body him and in general was a non factor defensively.

Honestly this is one of those games where I look at everyone from the coach down to the 15th man and can say that this was an outlier performance. However, Nash did not make any adjustments tonight when the game was still in play and he pretty much waited until the game was out of hand before he called a time out in the 3rd to bring Cheese in.

I'm going to move on. The Nets respond after every loss so i'm not going to harp on this too much. However, this was a bad loss because it was on national tv and the Lakers were down several key pieces. We started this game poorly and it carried over through all 4 qtrs.

Honestly, it wasnt his D that was really the issue for me. if a team is going to play drummond 30 minutes you need to exploit that on offense. Drummond had 20+ and some offensive rebounds but overall he gave just as much back offensively with turnovers and bad shots.

If LMA wasnt capable of beating him as a role man he needed to exploit him as a pop man on threes. he played the only game drummond could really defend. physical back downs.

My issue there is more with nash. 1. for not trying to find threes for aldrdige and 2. for not having Claxton/DJ play more,

Despite the slow start we were basiclly tied at halftime. where was the second half adjustments? we went away from the lineup that went on a 17-3 run.

I will. i still care about the wiz loss. and the pistons losses/near losses. and the rockets game being close. because the reason for those is all the same. lack of preparation, lack of adjustments, and poor coaching overall and especially late in games.

People are really not realizing that coaching means alot more in a 7 game series. and while we will always have the most talent, it evens out deep in the playoffs. Doc, Spoelstra, Vogul, Thubs stevens... these are all elite coaches we might see.

Nash is way out of his league and D'antoni isnt really making me warm and fuzzy either.

2nd watch observation: alot of standing and watching on D from Durant and Harris. I know KD just got back and i dont expect him to be all over, but it was pretty sad.

The 76ers play tonight and up big against the lowly OKC Thunder, they will take the #1 seed after tonight. Its over, we should prepare for next off-season, hopefully this year will help Nash and the coaching staff learn about playoffs, they have quite a lot to figure out before we make a push for next year's title run.

there is no "we". you are not a nets fan.

Sounds good on paper (or digitally?), but typically when a player says stuff like this (beyond being a good soldier), they're not so much able to do stuff they used to do.

We are 3-2 with LMA starting at center. the loses where to the bulls and lakers. 2 teams we should have handled. One of those wins was a 2 point win over the knicks kyrie needed 40 points to shoulder us to.

its a small sample, but the LMA starting/playing 25-30 moninutes experiment needs to be over and fast. The 2 things LMA brings are post play and range shooting. he is taking 1 three a game right now and post offense isnt a good option in todays league. he isnt rebounding much. 5 a game. defensively he has been at best average.

I like him off the bench. 15-18 mpg. post ups are more digestable off the bench, when there is less offense creation.

More claxton please.

The answer here is Harden. KD is rusty that is all. But what has happened with the rest especially Harris is the floor spacing sucks and Harden is our point guard that has the vision and passing ability to open the offense up. He is also an underrated defender especially in the post against a player like Drummond. There’s a reason why he is always in the MVP discussion. We need him, and we got him. No worries.

Cosign with Prok, this whole LMA starting n big minutes isn't what we need... lma should be off the bench... imo

Three of those five games have been without Harden and KD, and I like how you conveniently ignore that two of those wins were our most dominant wins this season, where we looked unstoppable. There's no good excuse for losing tonight but it's utterly bizarre to pin the 3-2 record over last 5 games on LMA starting at center.

I dont think having to play with "only" 1-2 superstars is some crutch. the lakers were missing more firepower then us tonight. that cant be the excuse

First of all, I said that we played with just 1 superstar in 3 of those games, not two (one of the two losses was to a Bulls team with two all stars). Second, I literally just said in that post that there's no excuse for tonight. But you have a habit of conveniently ignoring context when it suits your agenda/argument.

It was a poor performance from the start tonight but the game completely flipped when Kyrie and Schroder got ejected. Kyrie was our only positive player tonight and the Lakers exploded after that, we had no response for it. KD was on minutes restriction, but he was in when Lakers went on their huge run, and he actively hurt us tonight with his turnovers and lack of shotmaking when we needed it in the 3rd. Then the Chiozza led bench unit came in and provided some energy, but when they couldn't make shots either, the momentum flipped back on Lakers side again. The 4th quarter started and Mclemore decided to make like 5 shots in a row, something that's never going to happen again. The lack of energy, physicality was definitely a killer for us but when Lakers guys (Schroder, THT, Caruso, Morris, Mclemore) start making shots that they don't normally make, that will end up being the result.

The problem is this forum pegs a game as an automatic win, and when that doesn't happen, or if it's tougher than expected, the sky is falling and Nash is to blame.

When the reality is that these are NBA teams with legit NBA players who can get hot and beat anyone on any given night.

The 2017 Warriors didn't go 82-0 either, and they didn't only lose to the other elite teams. Jeez, how about showing a little respect to the competition for being an NBA team?

There are games that we SHOULD win, tonight being one of them, but nothing is guaranteed, and it's not automatically the coach's fault if a weaker team beats us in a random RS game. **** happens.
