I like a bunch of guys left better then otto and gay:

-Milsap
-Hart
-DJ Wilson
-Mike Scott
-Reddick

I dont love porter. we cant keep loading up with dudes who are always hurt and recovering from multiple injuries. the guys we bring in need to be able to play. Mills signing was great in that regard. Wilson is a better fit then Gay IMO, and nets wanted to draft him. Scott brings toughness, three point shooting, 6'7" and not scared to hit the glass. would be a nice influx of toughness with him and hames johnson on the team.

Give me Scott and bring back tyler johnson and im ready to roll

Iguodala has fallen of the grand canyon both as a shooter and athlete. He is now a worse player then brown defensively AND from three. he is all name value at this point. Similar situation with avery bradley

Maybe not from three. but he is still awful. brown is a better defender by a long ways. dont let Drtg fool you. brown played on an awful defensive team, iggy surrounded by elite defenders.

Iggy was not good defensively. and he is becoming a liability as a shooter. sub 30% 2 of the last 4 years. Brown was worse then i thought shooting. still a much better player then iggy overall. id assume iggy probably retires or moves to coaching anyhow

the dude had a heart condition. seriously you need to chill the F out with this kind of take. who cares where he left the nets, life/family was in jeopardy.

put things in perspective

Yeah. Exactly, how about he doesn’t come back due to his heart condition.

We are at a full 15 contracts + 2 2-ways + Gray

to add anyone from here, someone would need go (perry?)

I think mills was all the shooter we needed. id love mike scott to add shooting to the front court. would be cheap but perry has to go then

We could simply move Carter for a spot.

Why would we move Carter, a 3 & D guy and shooter that we traded Shamet for... just to try and sign a minimum level 3 & D guy or shooter who is likely older and worse?

That doesnt add up

First, Perry is not under a standard NBA contract with us anymore. He's on a summer league deal.

We have 12 players under NBA contract now, and 3 more will take us to 15. Those 3 will be Thomas, Sharpe and Edwards.

I like the Carter acquisition A LOT, and the postseason proved that you'd better have exceptional depth with ball handlers. Still, attaching Jevon to DeAndre could make it more palatable for other teams to absorb, and there are other serviceable options for a 3rd string PG.

Michael Scotto: The Brooklyn Nets will tender a qualifying offer to forward Reggie Perry, league sources told @hoopshype. Perry will become a restricted free agent. He was a two-way player for Brooklyn last season.

So he is tehncially on the roster unless the nets convert him to a two way contract or rescind his qualifying offer I believe.

Alize is on a non-guaranteed contract. He can be cut at any time with no adverse financial impact.

I'll be happy with Scott. Reddick is old, Hart get hurt alot and probably cost too much for us.

I'd like to keep Alize on the team. I really think if he got a chance to play regular minutes he would be a very productive rotation player. In fact, I'd really like to see him used in the same role on offense that the coaching staff used Bruce Brown in last year. I think he'd thrive in that role with his height, his touch around the rim, and his rebounding.

He has a small, partial guarantee after August 9th.

Yes, I have heard that, which leads me to believe that Edwards may not stay with us. Still, until the team announces it, he doesn't occupy a roster spot.

That was my understanding, unless the QO was rescinded or he signs elsewhere he is a roster spot

Return to Brooklyn Nets
