I personally want nothing to do with him, but I understand the appeal. He can score, but he just takes a lot of mid range, contested, bad IQ shots. He needs to change his style of play for me to be excited about taking him.

Yeah me too. I think he is awful. IDK why people are wondering why he is rated so low. To me it's glaring, why he is going in the second round. They just fall in-love on his physic.

If we drafted Ferguson/Semi/Comanche 22/27/57 that would be a pretty good draft imo

would love him but i dont think that will prevent him from going high in the draft

The guy was already a late lotto pick and you don't think the possibility of him missing his entire first year could make him slide into the 20's? I think there is a real chance he's there at 22. No guarantee but certainly possible.

At this point, I think it's clear that the top 3 prospects for the Nets in terms of fit & talent within our draft range are Anzejs Pasecniks, D.J. Wilson, & Semi Ojeleye.

I'm not a Wilson fan really. Seems a bit mechanical to me for a PF even though his draft write up says he's fluid and athletic

Seems like another one of those "what else is he supposed to say" statements. I'm still hoping he pulls a deal off with Portland where he takes salary (crabbe??) and gets another pick. I have faith in marks and this coaching staff to identify and develop talent.

Here is my big board by position in order:
G:
1. Donovan Mitchell
2. Terrance Ferguson
3. Josh Hart
4. Frank Mason

F:
1. OG Anunoby
2. DJ Wilson
3. Jordan Bell
4. Jonah Bolden
5. Semi Ojeleye
6. Isaiah Hartenstein

C:
1. Jarrett Allen
2. Anzejs Pasecniks
3. Justin Patton
4. Bam Adebayo
5. Ike Anigbogu

The whole stack of centers I'll be happy if we get to draft them at 22 as well as MItchell and OG. Outside of that, I'd be happy if we draft them at 27.

With a statement like that tells me that we are definitely not drafting any projects. They are most likely looking for a good balance between physical tools and basketball skills.

according to Jeff Goodman, ESPN Insider, the Nets may be interested in Justin Patton from Creighton. Other reports, including the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report, seem to confirm the Nets are searching for a big man to add depth to the front court.

Chad Ford's Final Draft Tier. Voted on by NBA scouts.

Spoiler:
HeadtopChunes wrote:Chad Ford's Draft Tier Rankings
Based on polling NBA scouts

Tier 1 (Potential superstars)
Lonzo Ball, PG, UCLA
Markelle Fultz, PG, Washington

Tier 2 (All-Star potential)

DeAaron Fox, PG, Fr., Kentucky
Jonathan Isaac, F, Fr., Florida State
Josh Jackson, G/F, Fr., Kansas
Lauri Markkanen, PF, Fr., Arizona
Malik Monk, G, Fr., Kentucky
Frank Ntilikina, PG, France
Dennis Smith, PG, Fr., North Carolina State
Jayson Tatum, F, Fr., Duke

Tier 3 (NBA starters)
OG Anunoby, F, So., Indiana
Zach Collins, F/C, Fr., Gonzaga
Harry Giles, PF, Fr., Duke
Luke Kennard, G, So., Duke
Donovan Mitchell, G, So., Louisville
(Anunoby and Giles are tier 2 in talent but injures have tanked their value)

Tier 4 (Starters, high-level rotation players)
Jarrett Allen, C, Fr., Texas
Ike Anigbogu, C, Fr., UCLA
John Collins, PF, So., Wake Forest
Justin Patton, C, Fr., Creighton
(Allen, Ike and Patton barey made it in)

Tier 5 (Rotation players)
Edrice Adebayo, PF, Fr., Kentucky
Tony Bradley, C, Fr., North Carolina
Terrance Ferguson, SG, Australia
Frank Jackson, G, Fr., Duke
Justin Jackson, SF, Jr., North Carolina
TJ Leaf, PF, Fr., UCLA
Anzejs Pasecniks, C, Latvia
Ivan Rabb, PF, So., Cal
Caleb Swanigan, PF, So., Purdue
D.J. Wilson, PF, Jr., Michigan

(A few players in this tier received Tier 4 votes. They included Jackson, Leaf and Pasecniks. And a couple of players on this list received Tier 6 votes, including Rabb and Swanigan.)

Tier 6 (potential first-rounders)
Jordan Bell, PF, Jr., Oregon
Jonah Bolden, SF, Australia
Thomas Bryant, F/C, So. Indiana
Jawun Evans, PG, So., Oklahoma State
Josh Hart, SG, Sr., Villanova
Isaiah Hartenstein, PF, Germany
Tyler Lydon, SF, So., Syracuse
Semi Ojeleye, F, Jr., SMU
Alec Peters, F, Sr., Valpariso
Monte Morris, PG, Sr., Iowa State
Devin Robinson, SF, Jr., Florida
Derrick White, PG, Jr., Colorao

(This tier has the players that at least one team told me they had ranked in their top 30. A few -- Bell, Evans, Hartenstein, Lydon and Ojeleye -- got Tier 5 votes. The rest are likely second-round picks.)

So our first pick should definitely be the best center available.

Nah. Centers deep, I'd rather grab one at 27. I feel like we need to grab the best available swingman at #22.

If we break it up further based Ford's comments for the last 3 tiers:
4a) John Collins
4b) Allen, Anibogu, Patton
5a) Jackson (assuming Justin), Pasecniks, Leaf
5b) Bam, Bradley, Ferguson, Jackson (assuming Frank), Rabb, Swanigan, Wilson
6a) Bell, Evans, Hartenstein, Lydon, Ojeleye
6b) Bolden, Bryant, Hart, Peters, Morris, Robinson, White

Assuming tier 4 is picked clean, I go Justin Jackson (if he's there) at #22, and grab a 5b big at #27. If he's not there, you go with a 5a big (Pasecniks would be my pick), and grab Ferguson, Jackson or White.
