Dedmon would be an interesting signing.

I’ve been thinking about that for awhile now. It’s kind of hard to keep two non shooting bigs in a rotation. Especially, without a real stretch four.

Someone like Kanter, Favors, Len, Robin Lopez could work too. A big that could pick and pop from mid range and score with the back to the basket wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

Robin wouldnt be a bad backup but man I feel like you guys are forgetting how good Ed Davis is.

He averaged an absurd 12 and 17 per 36. He was a huge reason our 2nd unit was one of the best in the league. He would've really helped us in the playoffs.

I'm not forgetting, I know how important he was for us, and his absence was especially felt in the playoffs. I'm not even saying that Dedmon is better than Ed Davis, but Dedmon might be the better option for us because he offers more size and ability to shoot 3s.

I'd be in favor of this if we can't retain Ed. As MGrand said, Ed was really solid for us on both ends of the floor.

I don't mind keeping the 5 spot solely for rebound/finish bigs and not floor spacers. we can dedicate the 4 spot to that.

But I don't think this is a bad idea at all since Dedmon is a system fit player.

Thank You for everything, DeMarre. Swagdaddy has been a big part of our turnaround from winning a lob sided salary dump deal to helping grow D’Angelo and Caris. I hope we bring him back but I think he knows it’s over.

this is the part that sucks because from 1-15 all of these guys left a positive impression especially Carroll.

I thibk DLo's agent will accept 20M per years, look in this big market this season, media talks a lot about him, he feels great here, publicity, magazine and all this stuff are going for him here, there is a good storytelling ...

I don't think, going to Suns for exemple is better even for a max contract

This being said that was a pleasure to following this season with each of all of you guys ( even IceManBK lmao ), staying awake in night hours in france with you to saw Allen getting bullied in the post lmao, improving my english by reading and talking to you
That was one of my best may be my best sports season that I had
Coming here following the Nets thanks to DLo, without enthusiasm, I finally founded MY franchise, the Brooklyn Nets.
I will soon change my nickname for NETSFrenchFan haha

That’s an interesting person. He would do the same things Ed does while providing spacing. He would be a good fit here.

Yeah it's tough. And this is why I have said a few times, we're not a lock to repeat this success next season.

Carroll, Davis, and Dudley were major contributors. If I put a number on it, these three players were at least contributed to 10 wins this season.

Our young guys will need to make another jump along with retaining/replacing these veteran leaderships if we want to keep building.

20 million vs his max (27.5M) is pretty much irrelevant. His cap hold is 21 million... so even if he signed for 20, it doesnt change our cap. It would be (VERY) unwise to let russell test his value and sign an offer sheet... we would stand to lose 7 million in cap space if someone gave him max/near max and we matched.

We need to agree to a max/near max deal with Russell with the understanding he will sign after we exhaust our cap space. id be very surprised if he hit free agency. I'd think in the next 7-10 days he and marks will have a deal worked out

if those guys are gone its because we signed a max player... who should be worth at least those 10 wins. we would also probably bring 1 of the 3 back on the room exeption

I'm not sure that is necessary true. I think 1 of them comes back for sure...whether it's Demarre or Ed.

If we strike out on a max guy this off season, I think they protect 2020 cap just in case.

That would mean no long term deal. Dudley has hinted about wanting 2 if not 3 year that is not vet min. Of the three, I think he's gone.

I think Demarre is looking for another 2-3 year deal as well.

We will see, but I would be surprised to see 2 of these 3 be back next year.

If I have to guess, right now Ed is coming back.

I don't see many team interested in Dudley so I'm pretty sure he will come back for minimum vet

And what about RHJ? That is a big question... I really have no idea about what will gonna happen with him

He could opt to come back and play under those conditions. I can't imagine him getting any significant offers.

Dedmond would cost more then Davis, and will get opportunites to start elsewhere. i dont see it although im a huge dedmon fan and would be all for it
