Also I'd give Shamet more mins. If he has it cooking, he's the kind of streaky shooter than can give us a lift.

Both TJ n Shamet are out

If Ky was playing, I don't think Harden would be an option tonight..

Regardless... the team needs to play and needs to stand out!

Joe Harris, Bruce Brown, Blake, Claxton.. they'll be needed now more than ever...

I still want to see DJ get minutes n play Alize for some fresh legs and energy to play hustle ball.

TLC needs to get his in, we need his shooting ability now more than ever..

Those are adjustments, play your team Nash!

If that medical report above is correct, TJ is out tonight.

Shamet is super streaky and turnover prone if given ball handling duties.

The only issue I have with Shamet is that his 3pt attempts are often difficult ones. He usually runs very hard, stops on a dime, and shoots his 3s. Those are very difficult to make, especially on a consistent basis. I feel like he'd make more of them if he just took a half-second more time to properly set his feet and get his shooting motion aligned before shooting. He's got the ability to shoot 40%+ from 3 if he just slows down a tad. I don't recall him getting run off the line constantly to warrant him being so quick to get his shot off.

TJ is not out. Windrem is being an idiot by posting an old graphic from the middle of the season.

If Harden plays tonight, we will win and take command of this series. If he doesn't, I don't have much hope. This team's offense is awful when Durant is the primary ball handler and he doesn't make his teammates better. Not a shot at KD, just a fact. He is a scorer. Harden is a floor raising facilitator. He could go out there with Brown, Harris, Green and Griffin and we would not miss a beat.

I was down at first, but if its true that Harden is pushing to play, I see us surviving this if he and KD can stay healthy.

Like I said in the game 4 thread. For tonight we need to throw everybody out there, we need to find someone that will give us a spark. It could be Chiozza, Alize, Jordan, TLC, all hands on deck tonight. Personally I’m not playing Harden, I’m not risking his long term health…

I'm just terrified of putting Harden in and seeing him get hurt worse. But our season is basically on the line these next 2 games.

I don't see Harden really getting better with just 2 more days of rest. At this point you have to empty the clip.

Do everything you can to win tonight and see if we can grab one of the last 2 and survive till next round. Might get Kyrie back by then and Sixers are looking wobbly.

Milwaukee are easily the favorites right now with basically full health.

If harden plays and isn’t really well enough to play and is pushing through the pain then he should be out there. He will cause more problems limping around and not being able to move freely. He will be all offense and no defense. I also don’t want to risk him re injuring the hamstring. It’s tightness not a pull. Let’s not make it worse. There is still another game to play after this one. If he’s almost ready now then he will be ready for game 6. Let’s not f that up

I think Nash has to stop with this limited rotation crap. That’s not won games all year. Put the guys in that helped get us here. They provide energy and defense and movement. Try. It just can’t be Durant

Exactly.... play what got us here... especially don't 2 guys, a compromised Jeff green... we need other guys to play and play to win!!!

If hes doubtful why not play him?

Seems to me like Harden will play Game 6 regardless.

In my view play him tonight and keep him out Game 6 if we win tonight.

We need Hardenf or 2 games. whatever increases those odds the most. if its 3 more days rest sitting him, do it

If Harden is back were basically in position to win. As long as he doesn't re-injure himself.

Harden, KD Nets should be better than the KD, Kyrie Nets. Just need to hit 3s at home.

MGrand15 wrote:The key tonight is defense. We shut Milwaukee down the 1st 3 games. In G3, Middleton started getting loose. In G4, all their shooters got loose. Defense has been a problem all year and maybe we're going to regress or start to wear down. Kyrie is a much better defender than anyone else we can throw at guard. If we can somewhat keep them in check, I think we have a chance.

I'm sure the league got A LOT of film from the Nets on how KD was being 'defended' last game. I suspect the refs will actually do their job and they'll be forced to play actual basketball and not prisonball.

Harden being upgraded to doubtful is a good sign. The fact that he was straight up OUT yesterday made me think it was impossible he'd play in G6. I still think his return is unlikely but stars have a lot of power on this team. If he pushes to play, I wouldn't be surprised if he plays.

I disagree...

The bucks scored 86 points in game 2 on awful shooting
the bucks scored 86 points in game 3 on awful shooting
The bucks scored 107 points in game 4 on subpar shooting (43/34/65)

if we cant score 110 points.... or even 88 points, we cant expect to win. holding them under 85 points is not realistic. if we hold them to 105, thats a great effort. considering how good they are offensively (5th in the NBA).

Our offense the past 2 games has been abysmal. failed to score 100 both games. without Kyrie/Harden its an even larger challenge. Defense has been great. they hit more shots game 4, but still held them below what they typically get.

We need to score 110+, if we cant, we will lose.

IF harden can give us 30-32 minutes for 2 games, i think we win.

otherwise, its gonna be real tough, and KD will need to go superman mode

Yeah I'm with Prok on this one. Defense has been awesome.

The first road game nobody could hit a shot. The second one I thought the offense was looking good in the first half. But team felt demoralized after Kyrie injury and had no game plan.

If we get hot from 3, its our best chance to win. Need Shamet, Harris, Green etc. to hit their wide open shots. Its the only way.
