I get it if we lose. Were not good at all without the Big 3.

But why is it never close?

Right now? Because we're down our 4 best players... You take the Top 2 players off any team and they'll struggle, multiply that by 2 and well... What you see is what you get.

Doesn't make it any less frustrating, but it is what it is...

They all suck lol

Which is why firing Nash mid-season never made any sense. There's no D'Antoni or Udoka on the bench this year.

Raptors making it crystal clear why the Nets should be desperate about avoiding them in a one-&-gone duel at the play-in. :nonono:

Losing by less than 30 is the moral victory we're looking for in this game. :noway:

Eh... You could give the Raptors OG and VanVleet but as long as the Nets have Durant I like my chances.

Raps are well coached, and play hard every game. Even with a full roster the Nets just go through the motions at time and think since they have a talent advantage they can just turn on the switch. The entire coaching staff is ass and you had a checked out Harden to begin the year because of the flat earth anti vaxxer. It has been an odd season lol and not sure 20 games is enough to gel for a title run.

I am marking myself present in the game thread for solidarity, but I'm kind of glad I didn't watch this one. Let's hope that Steve heals up quickly for the sake of of our morale, and come out with a much better effort in Canada. It would definitely help if one of our stars returned as well.

We need Kyrie/KD back full time. When you have four starters, especially three stars out, it is never good for any team. Raptors came out with more energy because of the beatings they have been taking but they struggle mightily with FVF. Nets need to make a push now and stop losing already. Twenty games left, can we at least go 17-3?

We're gonna lose tonight again and then Heat and Celtics. You have your 3 there, then we need the 17.

While I am no fan of Vaughn as a coaching candidate, I don’t think any assistant coach would completely overhaul the head coach’s philosophy and general approach to the game in the one or few games that the head coach is unavailable for.

Add to that, running into a team like Toronto who has way more talent than we do with KD, Kyrie and Ben all out.

I've been saying for weeks if we end up in a one and done play in scenario versus Toronto we will lose and fail to make the main playoff bracket

The fact that Kyrie is all but certain to not be available for that game pretty much seals our fate. We need him just as much as we do KD and Ben.

They were missing OG and FVV. We don't even have an excuse.

People act like its normal to lose by 40 to a fringe playoff team without their best player.

Its just pathetic.

We are so trash.

It's already known that Kyrie is NOT anti vaxxx as well which is the most important narrative of this all because this further proves it is all a political tactic by Kyrie to use being anti mandate as an excuse to take time off. I sincerely hope the Nets address this non sense over the Summer. The narrative has always been, "Kyrie can make a choice" but the reality is he IS/WAS NEVER anti vaxxx hence if that's the case, he should have gotten vaccinated. This was all a political game by Kyrie to screw over the Nets and have fun at home. Even KD was spewing horse **** when he said you cannot force him to inject something into his body.....If he doesn't want to.... But it was not that he didn't want to.... It was to take time off and use the mandate as an excuse.

Let's see, KD is not playing, Simmons isn't playing, Harris is not playing and Kyrie is not playing. That's a HUGE scoring load and piece to what the Nets depend on for their scoring. 29+27+15+15= 86 PPG combined. Yes, now I know why we suck. Players who leave their natural positions/roles have to step up and figure stuff out on the fly because there is no consistent lineup.....ALL going back to Pri Madona Irving.

This season is still looking like a disaster.

Simmons is not even practicing yet! And apparently is still too scared to play a game in Philly.

Even with KD back hes carrying overused role player to what exactly?

We get Simmons back with a few weeks left in the season.

And STILL no Kyrie. With no end in sight for the employer mandate.

I see as a 2nd round team right now most likely.
