Whole team's lost their self belief since KD's gone out. JV needs to be accountable for a lot of it, we are relatively healthy yet every single game it's random lineup after random lineup, one game Sharpe's playing 25 minutes next game it's Markieff, I'd like to see the numbers on how many different lineups we've thrown out since KD's injury but it'll be something historic on a per game basis. I know he is experimenting it's resulting in guys playing confused and out of sync.
And yeah also, We got 2 guys on max contracts getting outplayed by a guy on a 10 day contract....

BS. He was forced to give in to the whims of his stars. Kenny should have never been allowed to be pushed out. They've gone player friendly since. He's built a team of role players that excel around KD. The issue is KD's flakey little buddy. He's not a winning player.
yeah, thats not true. Its been reported that Nash was a Marks/Tsai hire, they had been scouting him beforehand and spent months trying to convince him to try coaching the Nets. They both have a relationship with him outside of Basketball. The man didn't even want to coach a team until the FO begged him. The stars asking for him is just a rumour started.
The roster construction is still trash and has been for 2 years now. Marks hasn't been getting good players to make a legit championship run.
Stop making stuff up. The FO never begged Nash. Yes, Nash had a previous relationship with Marks, but Nash was the one that reached out to express interest. Tsai undercut Marks by discussing Kenny directly with players like Kyrie, Jordan & Dinwiddie. In the inevitable rebuild, there's not many GMs that I would want leading this team above Marks.
Unless he can move Kyrie & return someone with talent (herculean task), there tear down will have to come sooner rather than later.

He not making stuff up , it was common news from every source then , they were pursuing Nash hard and long and he wasn’t interested

The lack of system kills the next man up ability. When you run everything through KD every possession he's on the court & everything through Kyrie isos when KD sits, it's impossible for anybody coming in off the bench to try to fill that role.
So now with no KD, we're watching Kyrie & Cam disjointed iso-fests, and teams with capable defenders are shutting them down.

This stretch is 100% on Kyrie. He hasn't had a decent game with KD out. Not sure what Vaughn or Marks are supposed to do about that.
And his body language and intensity have been terrible.
Pretty embarrassing considering the team is fully healthy outside of KD. At least last year when we crashed, we actually had a ton of injuries and distractions. This year there's no excuses.

What? It was known as the time Nash had no intention of wanting to coach and only did it after long persuasion. I'm willing to bet he never lands a coaching job again hell even be rumored in any discussion for one.
I've never heard of Kyrie, Jordan and Dinwiddie wanting Atkinson gone...

Re: GT: Nets @ Suns 1/19 10:30pm (TNT)
It’s so frustrating watching the this team. Royce is either 50% or 20% from 3. Seth and patty are essentially the same player and neither should be on the floor with our second best player Kyrie. Ben Simmons can’t stay on the floor because of foul trouble every game. Harris is either hot or cold on both ends of the floor. Sumner can attack the rim and plays at good pace but has no feel for the game and can’t be the facilitator.
We need a big who can rebound and preferably shoot. Ben is much more effective defensively on the perimeter not down low. Sharpe is too green .clax has been awesome but this is the first season he hasn’t got injured, knowing our luck it’s just around the corner. Also with one capable big on the roster he will get foul baited in playoffs.
Also we need an actual point guard. Preferably a tough one who can facilitate and get in the face of the other team.

3 chances and 3 turnovers. Also maybe is Irving played like this from the start then we would have won

Not with the way the refs have been calling this game. And Warren never checked back in after the first quarter.
Nets need to trade Simmons, Harris, O’Neale and anyone else not giving you anything on the floor and get a legitimate third scorer.

Speaking of exposed without KD. Kyrie is awful again.
this team is going no where as long as Sean Marks has a job.

Re: GT: Nets @ Suns 1/19 10:30pm (TNT)
I'm not mad at Simmons for getting ejected, the refs definitely had money on this game. That was horrendous officiating and they called every bs for the Suns. Bridges 10 free throws?? Cam Johnson 9 free throws? That ugly small point guard gets 8 free throws?? gtfoh ! they definitely betted on the Suns.
Joe harris is useless. Dude shouldn't be getting heavy minutes anymore. Yea he shot 100% from in this game but dude had a costly turnover and he can't guard a pole. Kyrie had to play hero ball to get us back in smh O'neale, Watanabe, Harris is useless and should be our 9th 10th and 12th guys on a team.
We definitely need a trade for 2 solid 2 way players that can do fundamental things like idk put the ball in the basket and not panic when they have the ball in their hands like the 3 guys I mentioned. These dudes just get so nervous when the balls in they hands they just turn it over and can't do basic things as an NBA player. Marks need to do something fast before we have a repeat of last year. 3 very winnable games against bad teams and we find a way to blow it ofcourse. Here goes our 11 game losing streak again.

lol wow I'm glad a non Nets fan actually said this to confirm it because the officiating really looks like they was betting on the Suns. That was horrible and Ben Simmons got fed up with their s***. I agree those guys you mentioned are almost useless especially if you can't do a simple thing like put the ball in the basket which should be a basic skill that NBA players have.

Re: GT: Nets @ Suns 1/19 10:30pm (TNT)
Defense is the problem, there is too much switching and when you face a big man like Ayton he makes you pay for it. You can't switch Irving, Harris, O'Neale and Warren on a guy like that. KD also covered a lot for Claxton when he switched on guards upfront, now you don't have that. Nets played more zone in the second half and it stabilized the defense because Claxton was able to control the paint.

Nets have to cut the dead weight and trade for someone who the defense gravitates towards. Chicago isn't playing well, why not look at Vucevic in the post and try and trade for Derozan or Lavine? Nets can trade the pick and future picks along with Cam, Edwards, Sharpe and Mills. I think it's a fair deal and would give the Nets a big and someone who other teams have to guard considering Lavine can score and it allows our role players to operate efficiently.

Bulls won't be competing anytime soon, and I am sure the Nets/Bulls can find a third team to help facilitate some what of a deal. We should really look hard at Vucevic, he will help on the boards and is a decent three point shooter. O'neal, Harris, etc... Are starting to show they struggle mightily without Kevin Durant. As far as another scorer, I hate to say it but it's true. This roster seems to designed to operate with KD attracting so much attention. Marks has to shore up those weaknesses; playing efficient without KD, which KD already mentioned in September and also getting a decent big.

Every single time it’s “Kyrie + role players”, we are a losing team. Not just a losing team, a straight up bad team actually.
He’s not a winning player. And this is why KD demanded a trade last time, because when he was out this team couldn’t do **** without him.
